Customer experiences point to a range of services and interactions. One reviewer described bringing in a tractor-mower tire, finding the needed tire in stock, and having it installed quickly, with a clean, comfortable place to wait. Another customer said the team diagnosed and repaired an oil leak during a cross-country trip, allowing them to continue their journey after about four hours. A collision-repair customer praised the timely work and communication, noting that staff kept them updated and helped handle a rental extension. These accounts give prospective customers concrete examples of the kinds of situations the shop has addressed, though availability and repair timelines depend on each vehicle and job.
The shop has a 4.3-star rating based on 445 reviews, while individual accounts are not uniformly positive. Alongside recommendations for efficient service and helpful communication, some reviewers raise serious concerns about repair outcomes, delays, or personal belongings. Those contrasting experiences make clear, written communication especially useful: ask what the diagnosis includes, what work is authorized, expected timing, and how updates will be provided. Before leaving a vehicle, remove valuables and personal items. For significant repairs, customers may also want to clarify parts, warranty terms, and the steps to take if a concern comes up after pickup. These are sensible questions for any repair shop and can help set expectations on both sides.
For people seeking automotive help in Oklahoma City, A to Z Automotive & Tire may be worth contacting for tire installation, general repair inquiries, or collision-related work, based on the services described by customers. It may suit local drivers who want to speak with a shop about a specific problem, as well as travelers needing help while passing through the city; one reviewer reported getting back on the road the same day after an oil-leak repair. The weekday schedule is useful to keep in mind when planning a visit, since the business is closed on weekends. Share the vehicle’s symptoms and any relevant details when calling, then confirm the proposed work, estimate, and timing directly with the shop.

My car came back 10x worse and totalled. This is long but worth the read- I had a transmission placed in my car back in October by A-Z automotive. I pulled my car off the lot after 5 weeks of them having it, in that time frame was not made aware until 1 week before picking up my car that they could have provided a loaner vehicle. This was neither here nor there for me at this time. After picking up my vehicle I drove slow and took back roads home to be sure they did the job. From the moment I pulled out there was an odd sound, I got home and immediately called them and told them what I was experiencing. I spoked with Mike who then told me "you must've hit a bump when you left, sounds like your CV axle is broken. Bring it down here and we'll get it fixed". I was charged almost $700 for their mistake as my car did not have this issue apon arrival, nor did the car come close to any harsh bumps from the moment I picked it up to the 10 minutes later that I called him. I then drive the vehicle everyday (mostly all day as this vehicle is used for work) until April 20th when a raging rattling sound burst through only the inside of the vehicle. I brought it to the only other person who has done my brakes and oil changes at brakes plus (this car has not been in any accidents or had any major work done other than A to Z automotive, and brakes plus is the only other mechanic to ever touch my vehicle for basic maintenance). Nick the manger and my main guy at brakes plus then informed me that when the transmission was set in, they never mounted it which caused my engine mounts to brake along with the CV axle again. My wife made it clear that they needed to fix this issue and they would come to get the car from brake plus due to their negligence, Mike kind of tried to argue, told her he would fix it IF it was there mistake. Brakes plus refused to touch the vehicle as they knew this was A-Z's fault and did not want liability for their work. A-Z then picked the vehicle up and brought it their shop where I was told I would see the car in a few days and handed a loaner vehicle. At this time my engine mounts and CV axle were broken. They called me 4 hours later to pick up the car which had me suspicious being I was told by brakes plus that the engine mounts would take a day on their own. So I immediately brought the vehicle back to brakes plus where they now discovered a chunk of my main frame missing, their assumption "they did not want to take the time to take the engine out so they lifted the vehicle and cut the frame to get to where they needed to mount it" when they "fixed" the problem my transmission was not mounted at all it was then welded to the frame so if this vehicle were to ever need a new one, the next guy will have a super hard time if even able. My CV axle was also fixed. They did not fix the engine mounts, said it was because it was not covered by the warranty that originally covered my transmission. So due to there negligence, I now have a chunk out of my vehicles main frame, and all 5 of my engine mounts still busted and likely a big laywer fee later, because there is no way in spending 2 grand on engine mounts that broke due to A-Z just apparently not knowing how to do work after all these years in business. I was told by brakes plus that legally my vehicle is totalled, due to the frame being cut, I was also told that if brakes plus had performed this job and messed up this bad, they would've fixed EVERYTHING free of charge, yet A-Z can't even do that. Crazy that with the transmission being bad this car was in better shape than when it came here. These guys are not stand up mechanics, can't take accountability for completely ruining a person's vehicle. We just moved here from Colorado with 2 KIDS and starting strong with poor service and people not caring about the safety of others.
I was looking for a back tire for my tractor mower. I called and they looked it up. They had it in stock and put it on quick! Had a clean comfortable place to sit while they did it. Very efficient and professional. Found out they do full auto service with ASE certs.
They did a great job repairing my vehicle after a collision. Rick and Mike got the repairs completed timely. Zach kept me informed during the entire process. They also handled the rental extension which was helpful.
Amazing service! I’m currently on a cross country road trip and started having an oil leak in OKC. Mike and everyone at A to Z figured out the problem and fixed it quickly. I was back on the road in 4 hours. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area!
Make sure you take stuff out of your car. I had some shoes and a backpack come up missing. I already know if I go back and ask they'll just deny any and everything. People should be aware of this place. Not sure why they were going through my car but here we are.
