Acupressure Qi Gong Massage is a massage therapist at 10548 San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito, CA, serving people who want hands-on bodywork in the East Bay. Open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, it gives local residents and visitors a broad window for weekday, evening, or weekend appointments. Its public profile lists a 3.8-star rating based on 70 reviews. That mix of feedback offers useful context for first-time guests who prefer to consider several direct customer experiences before choosing a massage therapist in El Cerrito, California. Because it is available seven days a week, the listing can also be useful for people whose schedules do not align with standard weekday business hours.

Reviews repeatedly describe appointments centered on areas of persistent tension. One guest arrived after dealing with neck pain for a week or two and asked for the neck to receive primary attention, with medium-to-deep pressure. Other customers mention strong work for difficult back knots, while another guest singled out a two-hour deep-tissue massage as a highly satisfying experience. These specifics suggest the location may suit people looking for firm, targeted bodywork rather than an exclusively light-touch massage. A longer appointment may be worth asking about for guests wanting more concentrated work, though availability and the right session length should always be confirmed directly. Before the session begins, sharing preferred pressure, sore areas, and comfort limits can help tailor the massage to your needs. Individual responses naturally vary, so review accounts are personal experiences rather than a promise of a particular result.

The setting has been described as minimal in one review, placing the emphasis on the massage rather than elaborate spa decor. Customers have also reported feeling relaxed afterward and returning for another visit. The extended daily schedule can be convenient for nearby El Cerrito residents and for people passing along the San Pablo Avenue corridor. Acupressure Qi Gong Massage may be a practical option for someone seeking attention to the neck or back, medium-to-deep pressure, or a longer deep-tissue session. Guests with specific concerns can ask about appointment availability and communicate their priorities at the time of booking.

Public reviews do not describe every visit the same way, particularly regarding payment timing and gratuity expectations. For a clearer experience, it is sensible to confirm the requested service, total price, payment process, and any tip expectations before the massage starts. A brief upfront conversation can prevent misunderstandings and keep the focus on the areas you would like addressed. For searches such as massage therapist in El Cerrito, CA, this location is identifiable by its San Pablo Avenue address, seven-day hours, and review-described medium-to-deep and deep-tissue work. Check current hours, appointment arrangements, and pricing directly before visiting, since business details can change. This approach lets you arrive prepared and decide whether the service fits your preferences.

I had been having neck pain for a week or two, so when a friend said that she was getting a massage I was eager to tag along. The decor is minimal, but I didn’t factor that into this review. I mentioned to the masseuse that my neck should be the main focus and that I would like a medium to deep massage. She only worked on my neck for a little while. Also, the pressure was lighter than I had requested. After a decent massage, I handed over $60 in cash ($50 massage + tip). I thought a 20% tip was sufficient, but she told me that it wasn’t enough. I told her that I had no more money, but the masseuse insisted that I pay her an additional $10. While waiting for my friend, she hounded me until I Venmo-ed her $10. I felt hustled. Also, I still have the same amount of neck pain that I started with. I understand that they need to make money, but they need to either raise their prices or be crystal clear about their tipping policy. That will be my first and last visit.

Shirley is absolutely amazing. She has strong, skilled hands and can truly work through the toughest knots in my back like no one else I’ve ever found. I usually tip 30% because the prices are very reasonable and she more than earns it every time. I don’t live in Berkeley anymore, but whenever I visit friends, I always make a point to come here just to see Shirley. I’ve tried many massage therapists elsewhere and honestly haven’t found anyone nearly as effective at relieving tension and tightness. This is a no-frills, basic spot, not fancy, but very clean, professional, and filled with incredibly hardworking therapists. My friend sees Ava and swears she’s just as wonderful. I used to come twice a month when I lived nearby, and I miss it so much. Highly, highly recommend.

The best massage I have had in a very long time. I live part time in Bangkok and get massages weekly so this says a lot in terms of a high level of satisfaction. I had the two hour deep tissue massage which I highly recommend.

This was my second time here. The first time was great! Reasonably priced and felt relaxed afterwards. Today, as I am paying they said it was a minimum $20 dollar tip. I was so confused by this because this did not happen the first time. I understand everything is getting expensive but a $20 minimum tip without warning is upsetting. I will not be coming back here.

I brought some friends here from out of town and was charged upfront - every other time I’ve been here that has never happened, I’m sure other people leaving a review can say the same - the only difference between the times I went before and was not charged was the skin color of the people I was with - I’ll let that marinate. Following that I tipped $10 and was HOUNDED to tip more - I honestly was about to walk out and not tip a single cent because of the pay up front stunt they pulled. After that o have not been back , it’s a shame this place used to be a lot better , now I recommend it to nobody.
