Sign in to reviewOne day I visited the store section at Afghan Halal Super Market and saw many Afghan drinks, snacks, and biscuits. I bought 4 bottles of Shifa, a well-known Afghan drink that many people say tastes very good. I also bought several Afghan snacks and biscuits because I was excited to try Afghan products for the first time. When I got home, I checked the dates and discovered that the Shifa drinks were expired for almost 6 months. The biscuits and snacks I bought were also expired. This is extremely serious and completely unacceptable. Selling expired food and drinks means you are playing with people’s health and safety. This is a very serious warning to the owner and management: stop selling expired products immediately. In the coming days, we are discussing this issue with friends and are considering reporting it to the FDA and health authorities so proper inspections can be done. Businesses in America must follow health and safety laws. No customer should ever risk getting sick because of expired drinks or snacks being sold carelessly.
Love their boti kabobs and Mutton karahi. The meats were tender and juicy. Definitely recommend this place 10/10
The afghan woman was very rude and disrespectful. Her attitude ruined the whole store and the experience. I advise nobody to got there. She seemed very racist. Just an over all bad experience. Don’t spend a penny there. Disgusting.
Very well stocked store with food, drinks, carpets, and cookware. The staff were all very friendly and patient with my many questions. The prices were fantastic--if you need spices or other South Asian staples, this is a much better choice than Whole Foods. Credit cards are accepted, no minimum purchase. The store's owner, Lucky, was a translator for US troops in Afghanistan. While it's sad that he had to leave his home behind, I'm thrilled to see his new venture is thriving. Please support him if you're in the area!
I have eaten there several times and can’t say enough about the food. The market is also fantastic and the staff is super helpful and friendly.
