Sign in to reviewAmandine is consistently good for me because the flavors are great, the service is also dependable, and they have tons of options that I love. I’m a deep fan of French food and love this mini bistro. There are many locations around town and all are solid. This location has easier parking than some of the others and inside is quite large with many different seating options. The staff was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. I have tried many of their sandwiches, but this time I chose the Steak and Eggs and thought it was great. They also have a ton of pastries and coffee options so it’s a great place to grab a snack as well if you don’t feel like a full meal. Everything about it really hit the spot and I would recommend to anyone in the area. It’s a great option for breakfast or lunch.
Stopped in for a quick coffee and croissant. Friendly staff. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The croissant was very flaky and fresh and flavorful. I should has asked for some jam. It pulled apart and was very good. On the way out, I picked up a sourdough baguette and a wonderful chocolate twist. The baguette was good but not really a true 'sour' loaf. The chocolate twist on the other hand was amazing. Very thick, dark chocolate on a fresh pastry bread. Delicious! This is a small chain with 3 shops around LA. I went to the Wilshire one. Definitely worth another visit to try some of the other great looking pastries. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating at this location. I never felt rushed sitting here with my coffee.
I am so grateful for the family that took care of my order and the gracious owner that made sure the customers were prioritized. I had to bring over my friend's birthday cake on my motorcycle and asked if they had string or ribbons. Boss man in the back pressed some plastic and made me a makeshift tie. I didn't tie it right but the cake got delivered and my friends and I had a laugh abt it. The strawberry cake is delicious--not too sweet and perfectly light and fluffy ✨
I arrived on a late morning so there was no wait and plenty of seating. I have had their coffee and pastries but not breakfast. I ordered the Florentine Omelette with Toast and a Fruit Cup. Not much flavor with the Omelette. The fruit cup was fresh and was the best part of the meal. I would stop by for their pastries and coffee only. Limited parking in the back with metered parking in the front. They have a restroom available.
Went here with the wife after a doctor's visit. Ambiance is less than excellent but the place is clean and service was great. We ordered cappuccinos, eggs over easy for the wife and French Toast for me. French Toast is my go-to dish for breakfast at a new restaurant. The coffees came quickly. They were quite large, which surprised us. However, they were very good with a good amount of foam, but not too much. This gave us high hopes for the food. The food arrived soon, delivered straight from the kitchen. The wife's eggs were to her liking, the bacon was crisp, the toast was dry and there was a small bowl of chopped fruit, too. The wife was delighted with everything. I was also delighted with the French Toast. Without fear of contradiction, I can say it was the best French Toast I have ever had. The toast was fluffy and stayed that way for the whole meal. The bread was brioche, I found out later. The portions were large. I couldn't finish mine, which is really saying something. The wife joined the 'clean plate' club and that is also saying something. All in all, we were very pleased with our choice for breakfast. The inside decor is straight from IKEA, but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was worth going back for. Bottom line: worth a visit. A bit expensive but that just might be the dinosaur in me. It was $40 for the whole shebang and we got to watch the doings on Wilshire Blvd. Update (13 Feb 2024): Went here again today. Only self-serve now (I guess they have to pay their people more so they eliminated that to save money. ) Order at the counter, about the same price and food quantity. There was a different taste to the French Toast today, not bad, just not as good as before. Wife was pleased with hers. Still worth a shot. Parking at the back.
