⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ UNDead at the American Victory Ship & Museum was such a unique way to celebrate spooky season! Turning a historic ship into a haunted attraction made it feel like we were truly aboard a haunted boat. The actors were easily 5/5! What meant the most to me was how accommodating the staff were to my son, who has a disability. They gave our group extra time to navigate the stairs safely without making us feel rushed or taking away from the spooky experience. A wonderful family night filled with scares, laughter, and memories. Thank you for making the experience so special for our family! 🚢👻
It was a great experience learning about the history of this ship. This was our second visit to a battleship; the other one is in San Francisco (highly recommended). Tip: bring water on board. It gets very hot inside during the summer months, though fortunately, there are some air-conditioned areas as well.
I contemplated not sharing my experience because I don’t want this event to be sold out quickly next year (before I can rebook). Their 4th of July celebration was wonderful! My family and I enjoyed ourselves so much. The staff was welcoming, friendly and even took the time to explain a lot of the ships history. The event was not too packed, so we were able to enjoy the ship. There was a bar, DJ and the most amazing fireworks display! 🎆 🇺🇸 Rookie suggestions: Bring your own lawn chairs (if you don’t want to stand for the firework show). It’s hot as heck, so dress accordingly!
Very good display of history! Beautiful ship with interesting past. Thank you for all the volunteers that help maintaining this artifact! It’s very important to remember our past so we don’t repeat our mistakes. Thank you!
An incredible, real-life piece of American history right in downtown Tampa! Walking through this giant 1945 ship is such an incredible experience. You get to explore nearly the whole ship—from the deep engine rooms all the way up to the bridge and captain's quarters. It’s packed with authentic equipment, WWII artifacts, and fascinating history. The volunteers on board are super welcoming and full of great knowledge. A total must-visit for history buffs, military enthusiasts, and families visiting the Channelside district!
