I want to leave an honest review of my experience. Before my appointment, I sent the nail design through DM and was quoted $65. Even though I had a reservation, I still waited about 20 minutes with no explanation or update. During the service, they asked how much I paid for a similar design at another salon. I explained that I had previously paid $150, but that was for a very detailed and complex 3D nail design. The design I was getting this time was much simpler. After I mentioned the $150, they began speaking to each other in Vietnamese and then suddenly brought up additional charges. I was told glitter would cost an extra $10, and with gel removal, the total would be about $85. It felt like the pricing shifted after I mentioned what I paid elsewhere. We eventually agreed on $75, but only after I visibly looked unhappy about the situation. That’s when they suddenly mentioned a “happy hour” and adjusted the price. The whole pricing process felt inconsistent and not transparent. I had originally requested to book with the owner, but was told she was busy. However, while I was getting my nails done, no one else appeared to be working and staff members were just on their phones. Hygiene was also very concerning. The tools did not look clean, and it seemed like nail buffers/files were being reused between customers. They also did not thoroughly clean under and inside my nails at all. I never asked them to skip that step — it was simply not done properly. There was debris left inside my nails by the end of the service. To be fair, I do like how the final design turned out. However, the lack of professionalism, pricing transparency, and hygiene standards were disappointing.
I had such a great experience at Aime Nails! The service was super fast without feeling rushed, and my French tip came out absolutely perfect —clean, precise, and exactly what I wanted. The attention to detail really stood out. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! 💅✨
One of the nail techs, not Amie, I believe was rude, talking badly about the nails I asked for in Vietnamese thinking I didn't understand.. She also talked about the pricing in Vietnamese saying it should be $90-95, when I asked, "so $90?" she talked to the other nail tech basically saying "we accidentally said it already and she understood somehow, so now we have to charge her $90", lol? very nice work on the nails though
