Sign in to reviewI came to Amor Nail & Spa after seeing TikTok reviews and was excited to try them, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. I arrived requesting Gel-X. The nail tech immediately began by cutting my natural nails very short with a dusty nail clipper, without properly shaping or filing first. He then applied an excessive amount of glue that got onto my skin, and told me this was to prevent water from getting under the nail. This was messy and not standard Gel-X application. When the Gel-X tips were applied, the sizing was clearly incorrect and did not properly fit my nail beds. Instead of acknowledging that the salon may not have the correct sizing available, I was told that my “nail beds are too large.” Proper sizing should be confirmed before starting the service, especially if the salon does not carry a full range of nail tip sizes. Once I asked for removal, I was offered polygel instead. The polygel tube appeared nearly empty and the product quality did not seem professional, yet the price quoted was $85 for either service. Additionally, the salon did not have a good selection of nude/base colors for deeper skin tones, which was disappointing. Beyond the product and service concerns, the experience was physically uncomfortable. The nail tech repeatedly squeezed my fingers and pulled my wrist/arm toward him, causing back discomfort. When I politely asked for a pillow due to back pain, I received an unpleasant reaction rather than basic customer care. The overall environment felt tense and unprofessional, including loud yelling across the room while my nails were being removed. After being there for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, I chose to leave without completing the service. After depressing everything to the manager, he told me get luck finding another salon and that was it. I don’t like wasting my time or money, especially after a long day of work. Pictures are of my naps after getting both services “ gel x “ and “ poly gel” removed. My fingers hurt, there’s a burning sensation. Praise the lord I left! I wanted to like this salon, but based on my experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend it—especially to Black women and men seeking proper product options and respectful service.
Came here on our 9 year anniversary to be pampered, both services that I and my wife received were the deluxe mani/pedi for her and just the pedi for me. They offered a complimentary drink and sweet treat than began our services. I was thoroughly pleased with the attentiveness of the spa workers both Andy and Sarah I believe made us feel better than we deserve im ashamed to say. But every now and than in these hectic lifes we live a bit of rest and relaxation is a must. I would return 10/10.
Love Amor Nails, always a welcoming & loving vibe every time I come in. Always clean & tidy inside with their materials. Becky ( aka La Chinitaaaaa 🤪) did an awesome work on my gel x Christmas nails. Definitely worth the price & service 🩷
best experience for someone who doesn’t treat themselves often and definitely hasn’t had their nails done in years! i came in with some pictures from the internet that I didn’t think could be done Or would be not like the pictures I was hoping for and I was so so surprised. My nail person did amazing and I love the whole experience. will definitely be back!!
I have been a customer of Amor Nails since they were at their previous location, and I’ve been coming here for some years. Unfortunately, my most recent experiences have been very disappointing. I recently came in for a builder gel manicure with one solid color. Andy performed the service, and I was charged $70. The quality of the work was unacceptable. The polish was uneven, full of bubbles, and the application was sloppy overall. For the price charged, I expected much better results. When I contacted the salon about the issue, I was told to come back so they could fix the color. Due to my work schedule, I returned as soon as I was able. However, by that time, several of my nails had already started lifting after only a few days. Instead of correcting the full problem, I was told they would only redo the color. Since the nails were lifting, I needed a refill. I was then charged another $60 for essentially the same service. This pricing makes no sense when a brand-new set costs $65. If a refill costs nearly the same as a full set, there is little value in returning for maintenance. I have always supported this salon, but I feel that the quality of work no longer matches the prices being charged. Customers should not have to pay premium prices for poor workmanship and then be charged again to fix issues that should not have happened in the first place. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both the quality of services and the fairness of their pricing.
