Overall, pretty good. The green mango salad had more of a fish flavor to it but I’m not familiar with this type of cuisine so I didn’t know to expect this. Service was great and the staff were so sweet and calm. There were various types of groups/people there so the restaurant is definitely enjoyed by all types. The pork belly was probably one of the most delicious I’ve ever had. It was very easy to bite into, but as tough, while still being crunch on the outside. Definitely recommend.

Excellent humble Thai spot. Khao soi was some of the best I’ve had, chicken fell right off the bone and the broth was flavorful and creamy. Stewed pork dish was great too even if a few chunks were a bit dry. Service was wonderful two, shop was manned by two attentive ladies. About $20 a person with tip.

We have been going to a lot of Thai restaurants lately, and Amphai Northern Thai has been on the radar for awhile, so we went and had a very good chicken larb (no pic), and the Khao Soi coconut curry chicken noodle soup with a variety of condiments, including pickled mustard green, crispy fried noodles, lime juice and chili flakes. While Khao Soi can be overly sweet at times, this version was quite good. We enjoyed the firm noodles and the rich broth. The larb was even better, being tangy, spicy and also fragrant from the toasted rice powder. There are only a few tables inside, but we didn’t have a wait as it was around 3 PM when we arrived. Service is casual, friendly, and efficient. Would definitely return to try more from the short, but interesting menu.

I’ll be honest—I’m not a big fan of Thai food in general. But my Thai friends brought me here and they love it, saying, “It’s legit.” So that definitely says something. If you’re not Thai or not used to authentic Thai flavors, be aware that some dishes can be very spicy. Personally, I didn’t find the food all that exciting, but I also haven’t visited that many Thai places, so I won’t pretend to be an expert. If you already enjoy Thai cuisine, this might be a great spot for you. But if you’re trying it for the first time and prefer a more traditional, sit-down vibe (instead of plastic forks and a casual setup), this place might not be your jam.
