I haven’t been to Amy’s Grill & Cafe since I hung out with family friends several years ago. I got kinda lost looking for it when it’s sitting in the middle of the shopping center. The place is really small though. I saw a family that had to sit in a small table, but thankfully they moved to a larger one since customers from that table left. They do have a patio but it’s cold outside. Obviously no one wants to sit outside. It’s also nice that almost every table has condiments for us to use. The food is good though. The syrup’s viscosity is very thick and slow, which is something that I’ve never experienced. The pancakes are quite fluffy. The sausages and eggs are alright. Because the place is small with less seats, it can be hectic during peak hours. Highly recommend to go through takeout if possible. If you still want to dine here especially indoors, you’ll have to wait longer.

Very friendly staff! Amy herself works the grill and always greets me with a smile as I am a regular. Clean place, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Good food too! They are open daily till 3p, sans Mondays. Breakfast items are fantastic! Prices are also good and they won't break your wallet. I can walk here from home. Neighborhood place and feels like you are having a home cooked meal every time.

Amy's is hands down the best breakfast joint in Hayward, hands down. The service is absolutely amazing every time we go (every other sunday for the last 3 years). They remember our names and our order preference, they even always remember to leave the powdered sugar off my pancakes whiteout me asking. The mood is wonderful, it's not loud inside, and they also have outdoor seating as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We had high hopes for Amy’s Grill, stopping at the playground next-door, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The service was casual to the point of neglect—after taking our order, no one bothered to check in with us at all. The outdated and poorly maintained interior didn’t help the experience. As for the food, it was a disaster. The Philadelphia omelette potatoes were over-spiced to the point of being unpleasant, the waffles had a strange chlorine-like flavor, and my little one wouldn’t even touch the scrambled eggs—enough said. The milkshake was the only redeeming item, but even that was painfully basic and served in a tiny glass. This visit was a point of no return for us. Definitely not going back

This place was a little hard to find. It has ample parking and seating. They also had outdoor seating as well. The place was simply decorated but feels like it's been here a little while. The vibe was pretty chill, and the people who worked here were nice. I placed our order for to-go, items were: 1. Monster burrito - I didn't know this was the type of burrito you eat with a fork, but my husband loved it, so much I didn't even get to try it. 2. Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs - I was a little disappointed they didn't have biscuits. I wanted to have it with this. The chicken fried steak was super crispy along with the crispy hashbrowns and over medium eggs.. it was perfection.. 3. Cornbeef hash with eggs and rice - delicious, nice, and crispy. I especially loved that you can have rice as a side 4. Side order of sausage patty - delicious, especially when you dip it with gravy and put it on a slice of bread. 5. French toast - Amazing!! I didn't even need syrup, but it was good with syrup as well. I can't wait to come back and try their other items.
