I moved into this unit on 02/26/26 at BROOKFIELD PLACE and Immediately upon move in I seen baby roaches crawling in multiple places in the unit. A baby roach crawled across my child computer and even found dead roaches behind the stove , roaches in the bathroom, kitchen, living room area. I reported this to the city of Oakland. I was moved into an infestation, balcony door lock doesn’t work or light, window screens broken as if I don’t have a child. Multiple baseboards with visible roach activity. I requested an immediate lease termination and refund of all deposits but have yet to hear back. I called multiple times APERTO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT and no answer or response and it’s been days. I will be taking legal action against this property if I don’t hear back or be allowed to leave due to the unit being uninhabitable and having multiple safety hazards Including broken entry gates and multiple unauthorized access along with drug use of crack/cocaine in common areas and the stairwell leading to my unit. My belongings have been on the balcony since “move. In”

My girlfriend lives at an apartment complex in Sacramento and I visit her often. In the past management has placed a sticker on my vehicle for “2nd household vehicle” although it under my name not my girlfriends and I park in the designated visitor parking. Therefore I park on the street however April 16th I received a parking ticket due to me being parked where I wasn’t supposed to. I figured since I haven’t been parking inside the apartment complex these last few months it wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong. This morning once again a sticker was placed on my vehicle with the same “2nd household vehicle” bs. Today my girlfriend happened to have inspection and she asked the maintenance guy why a sticker was placed on my vehicle explaining to him it’s not her car it belongs to me. He answered her “that’s why”. He continued to be smart with her like he always does so I continued to ask him myself why he vandalized my vehicle and why he’s harassing my girlfriend. He states that it’s his job and that it’s only a warning for anyways but it’s his job to place a sticker on vehicles not registered and permitted on the premises after 14 consecutive days. I disputed with him my car not being parked on the premises not even 14 days. First of all I don’t understand the whole “2nd house hold vehicle” because I don’t live here and car isn’t under my girlfriend’s name. I park in the designated visitor parking. On top of that I just came back from out the country and I’ve been coming around since the 13th. My vehicle had not been on the premises until the 16th after I received that parking citation making it 8 days today. Had I not swapped my girlfriend cars so I could work on it at home on the weekend, since I can’t work on it here, it would have only been 4 days. I don’t understand why in being target, harassed, and why my vehicle is being vandalized with stickers. I’m not in violation, yet none of my business, but since it’s being enforced on me when I’m not in the wrong there’s other tenants that actually have two vehicles on the premises, park where they’re not supposed to and/or have expired tags. It’s not a big deal but had my car actually been towed then it would have been a bigger issue. If the cameras are checked they will reflect the 8 days of my vehicle being inside the premises and not even here the past months prior to the 13th. I was just going to leave it alone especially because I would hate for management to take retaliatory actions against my girlfriend but we’re all entitled to our due process and no one should hesitate to report anything because of the fear of retaliation. I would hope not since my girlfriend has helped management in times of need. I’m not sure what kind of math the maintenance guy was doing but my car hadn’t been on the premises more than 8 days, it’s mine not my girlfriends, and I parked in the designated visitor parking. I went home to my daughters and to work on my girlfriends car since I can’t at her place otherwise my car wouldn’t have been there the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th. Making it only 4 days total. On top of being targeted, harassed, and my vehicle being vandalized mold should not be sprayed with bleach or be painted over. Bleach is only effective in killing mold on non porous surfaces and not porous materials because it cannot penetrate the roots leading to rapid growth. Contrary, aside from bleach being toxic, its high water content feeds mold growth triggering a massive release of spores into the air as a survival mechanism causing new mold growth in other areas and increases the risk of inhalation. Vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda & water, and specialized anti microbial sprays are actually effective. Porous materials that are heavily infested should be removed and replaced and not sprayed with bleach or painted over just so it looks good. Mold is extremely harmful to one’s health.

While Winnetka apartments might not be the best, it is manageable when speaking with other tenants and coexist with them. Now, the current property management has been constantly harassing tenants and while I tried to reach someone else above her for a solution, there's only a dead end. I am not sure if they are using this tactics to force people to leave or retaliation against tenants who are at work and can't be there for a random inspection. False accusations have been given the current Aperto management staff, no going after credit score? I will definitely need to lawyer up, can't let this slide.

Tivoli plaza the manager knows nothing Eunice Espinosa. The seniors get no respect. I broke my femur falling out of the bathtub shower on 01/05/2025. I turned 67 in September. This is the senior living part of the apartment. My bathtub was to high I have had 3 hip replacements and the Femur broken after my Surgeon requested for Tivoli/Aperto to change the bathtub because it was too high. I requested these folks to change the bathtub and this Agency called Push had asked them to change the bathtub to a walk-in shower. They put up an extra railing and changed the bar that you hold onto when getting out of the shower. Well I was holding onto that railing and my foot got stuck and I fell and broke my Femur. After that Aperto changes my bathtub into a walk-in shower. This is a senior living and I am the only one who has a walkin shower in a Senior living that has a walkin shower

It is not safe to live there. The property manager has harassed tenants trying to get them to leave. And Jennifer was supposed to take care of getting me my pet deposit back almost 3 weeks ago. She leaves the company and I still don’t have my money. I moved out 2 months ago. Please send me my money. 9/26/2025 I have called and left 2 messages regarding my pet deposit. Fern told me she would have a check cut for me 3 weeks ago and nothing. You guys wonder why people are mad and cussing. How do you guys manage to stay in business. Send me my money! You would be upset if you were in my shoes!
