The atmosphere here is very relaxed, the staff are always friendly, and the restaurant is clean with great A/C—which is definitely appreciated during the hot summer. I've been back many times, and it's become one of my favorite Thai spots. The fried calamari is a must-order. The batter is incredibly crispy, and the squid has just the right amount of chewiness, making it really enjoyable to eat. I've tried several dishes here. The yellow curry lunch special was delicious. I'm terrible with spicy food, so even the mild spice level was a bit much for me, but the curry itself was rich and flavorful. The lunch also came with a crispy egg roll, which was a nice bonus. The small bowl of soup was a little salty for my taste, but adding a bit of water fixed it. 😂 I've also had the shrimp Pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly with a nice chewy texture, though the sauce leaned on the sweeter side. I have a sweet tooth, so I still enjoyed it. Another favorite is the garlic chicken. It's a deep-fried dish with crispy, flavorful chicken, and the portion is huge. I couldn't finish it and happily took the leftovers home for dinner. Overall, I've had consistently good experiences here. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is always welcoming. I'll definitely be back for more!

We’ve been ordering from this halal Thai restaurant for our clinic and medical staff several times a week, and it has genuinely become one of the highlights of our workdays. The food is consistently outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen doesn’t cut corners. Every dish tastes intentional, balanced, and comforting, whether it’s something spicy, savory, or mild for the team. What really stands out is the value. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it perfect for regular group orders. It’s rare to find a place that can reliably feed a busy medical staff and still impress everyone, but this one does it effortlessly. Service has also been excellent — orders are accurate, well-packed, and always ready on time, which matters a lot during hectic clinic hours. This spot has basically become our go-to “we don’t have to think about it” solution, because we know it will always be good. You can taste the consistency and care in every order. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, halal Thai food that delivers both quality and value every single time.

This is a very small restaurant in the river stone area of Sugarland. The service is fast and all the servers are friendly and helpful. We love it. Our appetizer was curry puff and the roti with curry. Delicious. Hubby had the panang curry and I had the red curry, both with a 3 spice level. So so so good. For sure it rivals the nines. We will definitely be back.

Another hidden gem we're happy we came across!! Food and service is phenomenal!!! After recovering from a little sickness I wanted something freshly cooked with not much spice, my meal choice was the Vegetable Thai Fried Rice it was very fresh, largely portioned and with plenty delicious vegetables very satisfying. My husband meal choice was the Shu Shee Red Snapper it was crispy despite being surrounded by the flavorful and savory curry base sauce serviced with sticky rice he love every bit of it. We also got an order of the baby eggs which was a 10 count. The butterfly milk tea was very delicious and soothing. A pitcher of water with cups are provided for each table upon being seated. The restaurant was very clean, intimate and attentive. Even having feminine products freely available in the ladies room which was a nice and delightful touch of care. We will surely be frequent returning customers to this beautiful establishment.

Went to Arun Thai for Valentine’s Day lunch and it was honestly such a great experience. The service was amazing — everyone was super nice and kept checking on us, refilling water, and making sure everything tasted good without being overwhelming. The food came out really fast and was packed with flavor. The spice levels were perfect and the portions were just right (I even split mine with my sister and we were both full). I ordered the panang curry with tofu and the tofu was cooked perfectly, super soft inside and flavorful. The rice was also really soft and fresh. We started with the shrimp tempura and tom kha soup with shrimp and both were really really good. The drinks were also very flavorful and refreshing. Overall the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing and the whole meal felt very enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
