I spend a lot of money at the surplus, 3 or 4 times a month, but first time to this one. Everything was really cool, people were friendly...I guess until they found out I was transient. It was a huge friggin deal just to brush my teeth in the men's room, told to go elsewhere across the street. Feel like one girl tried to make me feel ashamed with her eyes and body language, but I'm comfortable with myself, and she has no idea what I've been through. I was all smiles up until that point, but the vibe was trashed, I brushed my teeth for 2 minutes and immediately left. Other than that, good store I guess 👍🏾

This place is absolutely amazing! Great variety of merchandise for women, men, and children. That absolute BEST customer service, I called to ask questions about a pair of boots and the gentlemen named Evan was fantastic! He was courteous, patient and very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this store to everyone!

First of all, I love this place. It's one of my favorite places to go. Today that may have just changed. I walked in this store, waited to ask a staff member if I could please charge my phone for just a couple of minutes to be able to get …

They are pretty good for the most part they have a pretty decent selection of products to choose from! Got lucky the stuff I bought was pretty decent priced so I can’t complain. Hopefully the stuff I got was worth the small investment!

First off, I want to get the bad out of the way. The cold water is that the owners, whoever they are, don't have a good idea of how valuable some of their inventory is; For instance, the GP5 that seems to be treated like a priceless war relic despite it being in terrible condition and the mask itself being for civilian use, and the highway robbery that is selling Rothco jungle boots for almost double their market value (~65ish for what can be reliably found online and in other stores for 30-40 USD.. That kind of upselling of painted pleather is the only thing I could truly say is unacceptable about this place.) That being said, the store itself is massive. It has an alright selection of classic OD green fatigues, BDUs in Gulf War era patterns, and present day ACUs. Even the training spec Urban Warrior Program BDUs from 98 and 99 can be found in abundance if red is more your color. The decor was great. I couldn't take my eyes off of the replica BAR or the uniform displays on the wall at the front of the store. There's a certain deal of importance placed on the history of their inventory, which I very much appreciate. For what this store somewhat lacks in reasonable pricing, it at least makes up for in respect for where the reproductions came from. The footwear selection was both diverse and plentiful. From hiking boots and running shoes to snow boots and hot weather boots, they have you covered; More than that, the blonde employee (whose name I'm upset I can't remember) was extremely approachable and helped me find black boots in my size, which is particularly difficult considering I wear a 12 comfortably. I wasn't thrilled about so much of their stock coming from Rothco, however, as that makes it difficult for me to call Arvada Army & Navy Surplus' inventory true milsurp. You can't really say you deal military surplus if 95% of the real stuff isn't for sale and the other 5% is accessories like respirators and webbing pouches. Customers should be wary of the fact that much of their stock is comprised of reproductions and brand new accessories that couldn't truly be considered surplus items. That isn't a bad thing, but if you intend on spending your money here, you should know what you're buying. What's there is still pleasant to go through. As I said before, you'll find what you're looking for here. Just don't go in with the idea that you're going to be finding legit M81 BDUs, carriers/vests, or Vietnam boots. Milsurp is sadly going the way of the dodo, but a precious small part of it is still here in this store.
