Asian Food Market is a family-run Asian grocery store in Houston, TX, located at 10302 Harwin Dr. Ste A, Houston, TX 77036. Open every day from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, it's an easy stop whether you're planing a weekday dinner or doing a relaxed weekend shop. The store holds a 4.2 rating across 25 reviews, with regulars describing it as a welcoming, neighborhood corner shop stocked with the everyday staples and harder-to-find ingredients that make home cooking feel complete.

What sets this market apart is its focus on Burmese and Myanmar cuisine, a specialty that's genuinely hard to find elsewhere in the city. Customers point out that this is one of the few places in Houston serving authentic Myanmar food, from rich, spicy curries to fragrant dishes that draw a loyal following. Alongside the prepared and specialty fods, you'll find fresh vegetables and a broad range of Asian grocery items, so you can grab produce and pantry gods in the same trip.

The atmosphere is busy and community-centered, especially on weekends when shoppers come for Burmese dishes they can't get anywhere else nearby. Several reviewers mention that prices are reasonable, and the family ownership gives the space a personal, lived-in feel rather than a polished chain vibe. It's the kind of spot where you can explore new flavors, ask about unfamiliar ingredients, and discover a cuisine you might not have tried before.

Asian Food Market is a good fit for home cooks seeking authentic Asian ingredients, anyone curious about Myanmar and Burmese food, and Houston residents who want a reliable local source for fresh produce and pantry essentials. If you've driven past it without stopping, it's worth a closer look. With daily hours and a steady local following, it's an approachable, practical choice for both regular grocery runs and a deper dive into the flavors of Myanmar right here in Houston, TX.

I use to drive by here and never pay attention to it. Only recently as I want to find more different cuisines in Houston and to learn this please serve the Myanmar here in Houston and they have food of Myanmar sold here, it's a family run corner store what fresh veggies and grocery and everything you made need if you live right by here. It is how you imagine an immigrant family trying to make it in USA. But this is the only place I know of to get a taste of Myanmar in Houston, so it is worth exploring, the parking may be a bit tight on the weekend here.

You have to go here for weekend Burmese food. You won't find it anywhere in Houston

This is one of two Burmese places in Houston. It is crowded but prices are ok. I know they cater to the area Burmese population and cannot control the customers. I got sick of one of the customers berating USA. If you don't like it go back. I think the owners need to limit 'friends' hanging out and chatting. Place is too small for that. I do like the Burmese dishes they have on weekends and fresh vegetables. I do think that I will start trying out th other place
