I’ve been to **ASO Market in Arlington** several times and even taken their food on road trips — it’s usually great and holds up really well. I genuinely love West African food (I’m married to a West African.. This is the closestive gotten to authentic WAF), and ASO has been one of my go-to spots. I typically spend $60 or more when I come because the food is that good. However, on my most recent visit, the **coconut rice was SPOILED** — it had clearly gone bad. I called to let them know, not to get anything free, but because I wanted them to stop selling it before someone got SICK. Instead of listening, the person on the phone became defensive and tried to argue with me. That’s not how you treat a loyal customer who’s simply trying to HELP. BUT AM I SURPRISED??? NO.. ANY OTHER ethnicity will listen to the CUSTOMERS! For comparison, when I once called Panda Express about an undercooked rice issue, they immediately corrected it without any back-and-forth. That’s how customer service should work. Despite this incident, I’ll say the **younger lady who usually serves the food is amazing** — she’s friendly, gives fair portions, talks kindly with my kids, and always makes the experience enjoyable. Honestly, she should be running the place. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because the food itself is excellent — but poor handling of customer feedback can drive people away. Jamaican Patties bought elsewhere ❤️

I have been to this place twice to get the got stewed and today i had a bad experience, The lady who was there was on the phone all the time we were trying to order, i had to call her attention and i didn't even knowing if she was talking to me or the person on the phone, and i clearly pointed at the stew i wanted and she ki da made a face like it wasn't what i asked for and atvthe end she didn't say nothing just was on the phone and she made a gesture like " whatever" like she was just gone give me that without telling me nothing. I get home to this, no beef it looks like tripe

Great portions, fresh ingredients, and unbeatable prices! I couldn't believe how affordable such high-quality food was. Definitely my new favorite spot for a delicious meal without spending too much. Good work to Ada and her team members 👏 👍 🍲 🍜 🍸 🧉 …

So I just left this place where my wife and I eat quite often. When I walked into the market, the woman instantly put her hand up letting me know to wait. She was on a call for around 5 minutes, before I was served. Then when she began to serve me, she had an attitude as if I was bothering her. She was a taller light skin woman with a scarf on her head. People should feel welcomed when they come to spend money, not as if they are nothing.

First time visiting. Nice clean store. We tried the fried rice, jollof rice and the plantains. The food is flavorful. The rice tasted more like instant rice which I am not a fan of but other than that, it was good. The plantains were delicious. We will definitely be back to try more things.
