Customer experiences shared online are mixed, and the details are important when deciding whether the shop fits your needs. One reviewer praised the service after Auto Tech picked up a riding lawn mower and a brush mower, repaired both quickly, and returned them. Other reviewers described concerns involving communication, long waits, and uncertainty about what work had been completed. Those accounts include equipment that customers said was not repaired as expected and a warranty-service experience involving a battery-powered Ryobi mower. These reports do not establish what every customer will experience, but they are useful context for setting expectations.
Before leaving equipment, consider discussing the symptoms, requested inspection, estimated cost, expected turnaround, and how the shop will contact you with updates. Ask what diagnostic or repair work is included and whether you should approve additional work before it begins. If your equipment is being handled under a manufacturer’s warranty, confirm the claim process and any authorization requirements directly with the manufacturer as well as with the repair shop. Keeping a written record of the request and any quoted price can help make the service process clearer for both sides.
With a customer rating of 4.1 from 32 reviews, Auto Tech in Arabi, LA has feedback that ranges from a positive pickup-and-return repair experience to pointed criticism about follow-through and communication. It may be worth contacting the shop to ask whether it services your particular mower or yard machine and to confirm current availability, pricing, and turnaround before making the trip. A clear conversation in advance can help you decide whether Auto Tech is the right local option for your equipment repair.

I took my Ryobi weed-eater down too this place and after 3 months of not hearing from them i called and told the man that I had contacted Ryobi and they had not had any claim for my weed-eater. I contacted the person who was there an he …
Take the negative reviews seriously—this location has earned them!! This service center showed poor communication, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customer property. If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my battery-powered Ryobi mower in for a warranty repair (self-propel feature stopped working). After a week with no updates, I called to check the status. Rather than providing clear information, I was given evasive answers. When I asked directly whether a warranty claim had been submitted, the shop worker avoided the question and repeatedly stated that he could not obtain the part. I mentioned that I had read numerous negative online reviews and regretted not heeding those warnings. At that point, the representative began raising his voice, stating that he did not care about reviews and did not need my business. Concerned for the condition of my mower and lacking trust, I went to the shop in person to retrieve it. While at the shop, I had a Ryobi representative on speakerphone to address the issue directly. The Ryobi representative asked for the warranty claim number, but the shop informed him that the claim had been rejected—yet could not provide a claim number. The shop employee then stated he would submit a new claim and took photos of the mower’s model and serial numbers. When the Ryobi representative requested that he enter the claim immediately, the shop employee declined, stating he was “too busy,” and indicated the claim would be entered on Tuesday (this was a Friday). When the Ryobi representative followed up on Tuesday, the claim still had not been submitted. Additionally, my mower was left outside, visible from the highway, behind a chain-link fence, uncovered, for an entire week in the rain—exposed to weather damage and vulnerable to theft. This experience demonstrated poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and a lack of care for both myself and my equipment. Based on this experience, I strongly believe this location should not remain an authorized Ryobi service center. I am grateful the Ryobi representative witnessed the interaction firsthand.
I usually wouldn't leave a review. This place is the exception. Wish I could add to the glowing reviews on this place -- which were the whole …
