I'm a long-time Toyota owner and don't typically need repairs, especially for my 2014 Tacoma with less that 45K miles on it, so I was surprised when I started hearing a crunching sound in the front end. I took it to a shop in Lakeside. At first they couldn't hear the sound. When I drove them around so they could hear it, they told me it was a loose part in my brakes and not a big deal. I knew they wrong. A few months later, I dropped off my truck at Auto Tech in El Cajon on my way out of town. John called me nearly every day to keep me posted on the progress, working around a 3 hour time difference. He was honest about the diagnostic processes and that it was likely one of two things. He gave me honest insight into which repair made the most sense to try first. Luckily, for me, I had John's guidance and my truck was fixed with the first try. It was my struts. He also gave me a clear understanding of how my struts could need repair with so few miles on the truck- something that hadn't made sense previously. Michael, who actually did the repair, did a fantastic job. The price was competitive, and they even cleaned up a mess that I had made on my floor mat! What a relief to finally find a mechanic in whom I have complete trust. You just can't put a price on that. I won't be going anywhere else.

I would give 5 stars if I could! It was a pleasure to work with John and Antonio who communicated and performed work well above my expectations. After a negative experience at a local dealership and electrical issues that were misdiagnosed, Autotech correctly diagnosed the issue and helped me to repair a 2020 Sequoia. I can't recommend this shop enough!!
