06/19/2026 - I went in for a scheduled oil change and full visual inspection to figure out what was causing a squeaking noise that was coming from the front driver side suspension. I was in and out in about an hour, and it only took so long because of the inspection portion of the appointment. Steve is an awesome service representative to work with, and while I only had a brief conversation with Joey who was my mechanic for the day; The report he prepared after the inspection was very in-depth and gives me the impression of someone who knows VW's and Audi's like the back of his hand. What stood out most to me was Steve's honesty in all of his responses. He NEVER tried to upsell me on anything, and was clear about what needed to be addressed promptly and what services could wait (other customers have also noted this in prior reviews). Steve gets bonus points for having a great taste in color choice for his car (check the pictures attached to this review). I'm a bit of a perfectionist so my OCD forces me to be on top of even the most benign of upkeep with my car. Steve pointed out that while it is admirable to be on top of maintenance, this would end up costing me multiple thousands of $ and is not recommended from a financial standpoint. I'm still undecided on the extra maintenance, but it is a breath of fresh air to come across a car service team that looks out for their customers first and foremost. Not everyone has that kind of cash (myself included), and we all know how expensive Euro cars can be, so I cannot emphasize enough how important this is to everyday customers who just need their cars to work without issue and not deal with unexpected bills. I plan to be back soon to get the minor issues fixed that were noted in today's inspection and I look forward to being back there. I'll continue to update this review as future services are conducted. Notes: Make sure that you call well in advance to book for all the services you anticipate getting done on your car. They're very busy and are usually booked at least a month out. I forgot to mention about a minor EVAP code, and unfortunately they just did not have the time today to check that out.

I've been going to AutoSport since the 80s, then they abruptly went out of business a couple years ago. I tried a few other garages and they all sucked, one of em even charged me $1050 to changed the transmission fluid. I finally found my new place, Autobahn Autowerks! Steve is awesome, great communicator, and so honest. I love my GTI, but I'm coming up on 130,000 and need to make a decision to keep or sell. Steve was honest with me, and told me they typically go around 150,000 before they start costing you $$$. Most places would have told me I'm good so they could make the repair money off me, not Steve. He's always booked a couple weeks out, but trust me he's worth it. Does great work, does not overcharge, and pays his employees a fair wage with medical insurance! I'll be going to Autowerks as long as I own German, which will probably be until I'm gone!

Steve is exactly what you want in an independent Audi mechanic: honest, fast, and fair. I've brought my car in for oil, coolant, and brake fluid changes as well as shock replacements, and every time the work is done right without the dealer markup or unnecessary upsells. Hard to find a shop you can actually trust. This is it.

I’ve been taking my Audi to Steve for over five years now, and it’s honestly been one of the easiest, most trustworthy service experiences I’ve had. He always takes the time to walk me through what’s going on in plain English, explains what actually needs attention (and what can wait), and I’ve never felt pressured or overcharged. It’s rare to find someone you can really trust with your car, but Steve’s been that for me. If you’ve got a German car, I’d absolutely recommend this shop.

Steve and his crew are highly knowledgeable with VW/Audi vehicles and are honest about what your vehicle actually needs. They also have a great lockbox setup if you need to pick up or drop off your car during after hours with a seamless payment process. Looking forward to getting my GTI serviced with them in future months.
