Customer feedback describes a shop where many drivers value direct recommendations and work focused on what a vehicle actually needs. Several reviewers say they have returned over time, brought multiple cars, or appreciated being charged only for necessary repairs. One customer described receiving an estimate of $1,000 but paying less than $500 after the shop determined that some of the proposed work was not needed. These experiences suggest that customers seeking a straightforward conversation about repair priorities may appreciate asking questions, reviewing the estimate, and clarifying which work is essential before authorizing service.

Reviews also mention mechanic Hep, described by customers as knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to getting vehicles back to their owners. One reviewer specifically noted experience with Chrysler and GMC vehicles, while another said they would trust the shop with different cars. At the same time, feedback is not uniformly positive: one customer reported paying $2,000 for transmission work after a noise was attributed to the transmission, then said the original noise remained. That account is an important reminder to discuss the diagnosis, expected results, costs, and next steps clearly before approving a repair. The shop has a 4.2-star rating from 46 reviews, reflecting a range of customer experiences.

Avi Auto Repair LLC may be worth considering for Portland drivers who want to speak with a mechanic about a vehicle concern, understand what work is recommended, and compare an estimate with the symptoms they are experiencing. The reviews point to strengths customers associate with honest recommendations, practical pricing, and responsive service, alongside a reported disagreement about a repair outcome.
