Ba Bar on Terry Avenue is a fantastic spot with excellent Vietnamese-inspired food and plenty of delicious vegan options. We tried most of the vegan dishes on the menu, and every one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It's great to see a restaurant offering such a thoughtful variety of plant-based choices instead of just one or two options. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for amazing vegan food in Seattle, Ba Bar is definitely worth a visit!
That is an interesting story because, in my opinion , it is two businesses in one space. I was very confused when I looked at the reviews. When I arrived, it seemed to make sense. My husband and I were staying in a hotel nearby, and it was convenient to walk to. I thought we might get turned away because it was 20-30 minutes before closing, and to our surprise, my husband and I were quickly seated. I wanted to try a Vietnamese plant based coffee drink, but the waiter explained that it was really strong, so I thought it best not to try caffeine late in the evening. I ordered from the vegan menu, and my husband ordered from the other menu. Vegan side has a separate menu and ordering area for to go orders, but when eating in, you have the option of both menus (restaurants). As a result of two restaurants in the same space, there’s reviews for both places which makes it confusing. Service was good. Food came out fairly quickly. I had the tamarind vegan soup, and my husband had the non-vegan tamarind soup. The food was good. Are you confused yet? Keep along, :) it’s a plant based restaurant and a non-plant based restaurant sharing the same space, but each has a different kitchen for preparation, ordering, and cooking. The plant based is mostly takeout as there’s a takeout spot for that, but when dining in, you can order from either menu. This review covers both places.
Phenomenal! The Lemongrass Rockfish with a fried egg and side tomato tamarind soup was amazing. The soup flavors really came through with a refreshing and flavorful soup to start the dish off. The fish was cooked with a slight crunch to it and paired perfectly with the rice and egg. The cabbage salad was a nice surprise that I forgot came with this dish. It’s not often that you can order a full meal with all of the extras with just enough soup, salad and rice to satisfy the hungriest. One of my favorite meals so far in Seattle!
I absolutely loved the food here- I’ve already visited twice! The vegan options are fantastic, and everything I tried was full of flavor. The service also deserves a special shoutout. On both visits, our server was …
We got the pho Ha Noi and rockfish and they were decent. The pho Ha Noi was interesting but spicier than expected. Portion sizes were also a little bit small for the price.
