But these guys are so honest, will tell you whats wrong and whats needed and are so reliable and do a fantastic job, they have rebranded to Baja Autoworks, its right next the gas station/car wash. They are the best mechanic in San Diego and East County area that i have been to. Check them out! They have reasonable and fair pricing and won’t rip you off like other mechanics. 10/10 service.
This place is fantastic! The owner is incredibly skilled, honest, and takes so much pride in his work. It’s refreshing to see someone who truly cares about their customers and goes the extra mile to ensure everything is done perfectly. Even with just him and a young assistant, the service is efficient and top-notch. Highly recommend supporting this hardworking and trustworthy team!
My insurance had my broken down car to Ban's. Biggest mistake ever! 1st it was $250 & 2 hrs. Then $1900 the next day, something worse wrong. The next day we're up to $2900! The repairs were too much. So I decided to take my money & put it towards a new car. They had taken out the engine. Ok. However when the tow truck brought him home his flatbed was flooded w/oil. They hadn't put the engine back! It was in the trunk of my car! Now even a junk car dealer will not buy it! The tow guy even told me he's towed many a car out of there because of their bad work. And they charged me $150 for storage. I paid it just to get my car out of there. I Do Not Recommend This Place. Word of warning.
I took a shot based on online reviews and the fact they were able to get me in right away. Others I called were several days out and I couldn't go without my work truck for long. I dropped off on a Monday morning, and the tech had me run to pick up parts, which was odd and should have been a red flag. They got it done the same day and I was told to to pick up before they closed. I was there at 4:10 (online website said they closed at 4:30) but they were gone and my truck was locked up in the yard. The hours on the door say they close at 4:00. So Tuesday I go to pick it up and the shop was locked up all day. Hopefully I can get my truck this morning and all is good. I will talk to them to see what happened, but I doubt I will go back in the future.
What an excellent experience! Quality work, at reasonable rates.. I was able to get the work I needed done in a very timely fashion, after getting the work quoted. The gentleman was accurate in his estimate of cost. I couldn’t be any happier. Thank you so much!
