I started first with the Bambu franchise in Las Vegas a decade ago. I'm happy when I found out they have this location in PDX a few years ago. If you're not Vietnamese, Bambu is the Vietnamese chè and sinh tô, loosely translated dessert and smoothie, but in a cup, especially for the dessert. They expanded the menu to include coffee, milk tea and such. 3/5-Overall quality and flavor consistency. If you're Vietnamese, it's best to customize yours to your liking as I find their menu a bit lacking for my preference. My favorite and go to choice is the Pennywort Mung Bean $6.50 for 6-8 oz cup. I get it whenever I visit because it's too much labor to make it at home for me. I'm glad to see durian on the menu during my recent visit with friends on 714/26. I had to get it of course since I'm a diehard durian lover! I customized mine #5 Smashed Avacado (Smashed Avacado, Ice Separate, NO PEARLS, No Combo Jelly, No Coffee Jelly, Add Durian ($2.00), the total price is $9.50 (7.50 +2 added durian), not cheap yet | had to give it a chance. Dislike the fact that the smashed avocado was too mushy for my preference so as the durian with tons of fiber threat texture indicated the durian quality was mediocre as best. I'm glad I asked for separate ice or ele it'd have been too watery for me. I preferred my smashed avocado to still have pieces and chunks for texture, not mushy smoothie texture. Most staff speak Vietnamese as well. Clean restrooms with toilet seats covered, you have to ask for the key. Plenty of parking spaces in this corner of Powell Blvd & 82nd Avenue.

Got the Bambu special. It's pretty good. About $9 plus tip. Got it pretty quick and I finished the whole thing. Light and refreshing. The longan looks a bit brown but it taste fine and sweet. Will have to try other drinks there when I'm back in the area

One of the few places you can find Vietnamese desert drinks (Che) with a wide variety of milk tea, coffee, smoothies, and yogurt. All of the drinks use fresh ingredients and the coconut milk is made in-house. I ordered the passion fruit milk tea with boba and received my drink after a short wait. The menu has lychee, mango, rose, and a number of flavors and toppings. I have also tried the desert drinks and smoothies on past visits. The drinks are a little sweet, but you can adjust the sweetness. Located in the Powell Street Station in Portland on SE 82nd. A credit card fee is charged for orders under $10.00 A nice place to stop for a large selection of drinks and desert Che from Vietnam with Asian inspired flavors.
