Stopped in for the first time to get a pork banh mi for my spouse. I tried the lemon grass beef rice plate and the beef was tender with subtle but tasty profile. The beef was definitely the star of the dish. The carrot/cucumber/tomato veggies were good w/ a touch of acidity. The Thai tea was excellent as well. The cashier was very friendly and helpful as it was my first time to the establishment. Apologies but dug into the plate before I took a picture.

A very nice hole in the wall, the banh mi was nice. They ran out of the special banh mi when I ordered. However, the lady was very nice and offer me the beef and pork ones instead with a free Hong Kong milktea. I would definitely come back when I am around.

I recently tried Banh Mi ETC. It’s fairly close to me, which is a plus. I got the taro milk tea with tapioca boba and also the pork bánh mì sandwich. The taro milk tea was decent. The flavor was good, but it felt a little light, like maybe it was blended more than usual. Also, the straw just wasn’t big enough for the tapioca—kept getting stuck and honestly made the drinking experience kind of frustrating. Either the straw needs to be bigger or the boba needs to be smaller, because it was just not working well together. The bánh mì, though, was really good. Great flavor, good consistency, not fatty at all—just solid all around. And the pricing is pretty reasonable too. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly the atmosphere and wait. It’s a small place, but the music was blasting way too loud—you can’t really hear yourself think. On top of that, the wait time was longer than expected, especially considering it wasn’t even that busy. When I ordered, it felt a bit rushed too, like they were just trying to move things along quickly. Overall, good food, especially the bánh mì, but the experience around it just wasn’t quite there for a 5-star for me.

1. Drink tastes weird. 2. Bought 2 Banh mi at pick hour 11:30 AM , the meat in the sandwich but the meat is way to dry, feels like it has been overcooked or reheated way too long. For $7~$8 a sandwich, this is unacceptable
