Banh Mi Pho Wings

Only banh mi I've had in Austin that is close to what you would get in Houston. Spring rolls are handmade. Dumplings also very good. Thai tea and cafe su da are robust and delicious.

Rating: 2.6/5 [take out] This food truck is located in a small food park with limited parking that surprisingly filled up quickly—even at 10 PM on a Sunday. The prices on the menu seemed a bit off; we ended up paying about $1.50 more than expected, and our receipt wasn’t itemized—just a total. The woman working there was by herself and didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming. Piña Colada (Regular $5 | Large $6): We got the large (24 oz) to share. The drink was thick and creamy rather than icy, and it didn’t taste like a typical piña colada. It was more like a non-sweet pineapple smoothie. Pork Eggrolls ($4): Came with two medium-sized eggrolls that tasted like the frozen kind you’d find at a grocery store. Crispy Chicken Banh Mi Tacos ($10): Came with three tacos. The tortillas were a bit tough and hadn’t been warmed up. That said, the crispy chicken was better than expected and similar to American popcorn chicken. Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($7) + Fried Egg ($1.50): The fried egg with a runny yolk was the highlighr of this banh mi. Unfortunately, the bread was dry and fell apart easily. The sandwich lacked filling, and I couldn’t taste any pâté or egg mayo. The grilled pork was also disappointing. Overall, the food was mediocre. Given the location and food quality, I worry they won’t be able to retain business unless they improve both their food and customer service.

I myself do not like pho. However, this pho was actually very good. My aunt who loves pho said this was one of better phos shes had. She said she was actually surprised how much flavor there was. As someone said previously on a review there is only ONE employee. Please be kind and patient or order ahead! There are a couple of nearby sitting areas and two food trucks near by with additional seating. Parking lot is pretty small but there are some more spots on the other side of the abandoned building.

I come here all the time- wings are SO good and flavorful. Fried rice was delicious, bao buns are sometimes hit or miss, banh mi was really good. Never had a super long wait and the staff is pretty nice. Definitely a good truck work trying!

i’m telling yall, YALL HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!! the new location on 12th street and Chicon, still a growing business, but the food is Top Tier. we had wings, spring rolls, and crab rangoons. about to try their smoothies, it’s too good.
