BAY SPA is a Spa in Santa Clara, California, located at 2908 El Camino Real #160, Santa Clara, CA 95051. For local residents and Bay Area visitors seeking a Korean-spa-style wellness break, it brings spa and sauna time together in one practical setting. Guest accounts mention hot rooms, a dry co-ed area, and an on-site cafeteria, giving a visit room to be more than a quick appointment. Rather than centering on a single service, the experience supports an unhurried stretch of personal relaxation. Its El Camino Real location also places BAY SPA within an accessible Santa Clara corridor for anyone planning a restorative pause in their day.

Part of a comfortable visit is knowing the format before arriving. Reviews explain that guests use the spa and sauna nude, a customary feature of the Korean spa experience described by visitors. They also note that uniforms are provided for the dry co-ed area. Taking time to shower thoroughly before using shared facilities and respecting the space can help everyone feel at ease. This context makes BAY SPA especially approachable for guests who already enjoy this wellness tradition, as well as curious first-time visitors who arrive prepared for its etiquette and setting.

If body care is part of your plan, a scrub service is among the offerings customers have specifically mentioned. A repeat guest has also described renewing a 10-visit pass many times, suggesting that regular visits can be part of the routine for some customers. Beyond the facilities, the on-site cafeteria gives guests a food option during a longer stay; reviews mention a range of choices, while one visitor found prices high. BAY SPA is open from 10:00 to 22:00 Monday through Friday and from 09:00 to 22:00 on Saturday and Sunday, making it an option for both weekday evenings and slower weekend visits.

BAY SPA's 4.2-star rating from 484 reviews reflects a range of individual experiences rather than a one-size-fits-all visit. Positive feedback includes a traveler who considered it an exceptional Korean spa experience and a first-time Bay Area visitor who found it clean and well staffed for its size. Other reviews report concerns about front-desk interactions, fees, cleanliness, odors, and a hot room being under construction. Conditions, policies, room availability, and prices can change, so confirming current details before visiting is sensible. For guests who value dedicated time to unwind and are comfortable with the spa format, BAY SPA remains a notable Santa Clara option to consider.

Paid extra with no refund. Will never go back. The scrubber Jenny is fine but all other thing sucks. Disappointing and not worth the price. Bad call, no reservations from phone. Dirty. Rude front desk. No mercy. Pity.

I’ve been visiting this spa since it opened and have renewed the 10-visit pass many times. My favorite hot room was under construction during my last visit, so I was excited to try it again today. However, the moment I entered, the smell was so strong and unpleasant that I couldn’t stay inside for more than 10 seconds. The same issue happened in another “bean room”—also completely empty even during rush hour. When I asked the front desk about it, the staff’s attitude was dismissive. I think her name is Eugene. She kept saying it wasn’t related and only said she would “check,” without any real concern. She seems very impatient. I don't know if she's going or not, I just left. Considering the regular price is $40 per visit (or $35 even with the 10-visit pass), I really feel the maintenance and quality of this spa have gone downhill. I will not renew my 10 times pass and I will definitely report to department of health if this is continued.

This place is amazing! I came to the area from the East Coast to visit a friend who lives locally, and I took her here for her first Korean Spa experience. I have a place I go regularly back home about once a month, and this was by far the best version of this experience I've ever had! We loved it! We booked the Vital Scrub Premium online the day before. We arrived early to shower and soak (we braved the cold plunge, but the star of the show is the hot tub with the jacuzzi jets you can turn on) --I wanted to check out the sauna rooms, but didn't give ourselves enough time! (Next time, we'll arrive even earlier, though! We peeked in there and they're beautiful! We did take advantage of the cold sauna for a few moments) The body scrub and acupressure massage was incredible, and exactly what we needed! We booked a 60 min, but next time I think we're going to go for a 90 minute--it was soooooo good! AND the food is amazing, too! I got the beef bibimbap, and my friend got the tteok-bokki with cheese. I also snagged an iced chai with red beans on our way out. If you're on the fence, jump it! You won't be disappointed.

People need to come here with cultural expectations. You are supposed to get completely naked to use the spa and sauna. Please shower thoroughly before using any of the facilities. Uniforms are provided for the dry co-ed area. The cafeteria has lots of options, but rather pricey, I chose to eat lunch next door at Paik's noodles instead. I got a 60mins scrubs and combo service, the scrub is rough even compared to Korean standard, highly effective though. The massage is equally rough, just come with expectation that you are here for wellness and not relaxation and you will be good 😅 Facilities are very clean and well kept. High traffic even on a Monday.

This was my first visit to a Korean spa in the Bay Area, and while it’s smaller than many of its counterparts in Los Angeles, it still offers a solid experience within its capacity. The facility was generally clean and well-staffed, which added to the overall comfort. The amenities in the co-ed area were impressive, but I found the bath section to be quite limited. There was only one hot bath and one cold bath, whereas most Korean spas I’ve been to typically offer at least two hot baths with varying temperatures. That said, one unique feature was their massage room, where you can enjoy a complimentary 30-minute session in a massage chair—a nice and unexpected perk. Overall, it was a moderately pleasant experience. If I’m back in the Bay Area, I’ll likely explore other spa options, but I’m glad I gave this one a try.
