Baycare Home Care is a home health care service based at 8020 Woodland Center Blvd in Tampa, Florida. Customer accounts describe in-home support that has included physical therapy after knee and hip procedures, as well as nursing care. For people recovering at home, this kind of care may offer a way to work on mobility and recovery in a familiar setting. The experiences shared about Baycare are mixed, so prospective patients and families may want to discuss their specific care needs, treatment plan, and expectations directly with the provider before beginning services.

Several reviewers describe positive experiences with physical therapy after total knee replacement. They recall therapists visiting during the first weeks after surgery and characterize their care as professional, encouraging, knowledgeable, and helpful. One reviewer, recovering from a right knee replacement, appreciated the support received at home; another said the therapists helped prepare them for recovery. These accounts suggest that post-surgical rehabilitation at home has been meaningful for some patients. They also mention team members by name, including JoJo, Natalie, Jeff, and members of a nursing team, while emphasizing personal attention and a caring approach.

Other reviews raise serious concerns about consistency and communication. One patient reported that a therapist arrived without expected supplies or equipment and seemed unprepared for the visit. Another reviewer described feeling judged during a nursing interaction and said the guidance they received did not meet their expectations. These are individual customer accounts, not a complete picture of every visit, but they are important context for anyone comparing home health care options. It may be useful to confirm in advance which clinician will visit, what equipment or materials are expected, how the care plan will be followed, and whom to contact if a concern arises.

Located in Tampa, Baycare Home Care may be relevant to patients and families seeking home-based support, particularly those exploring physical therapy after joint replacement or nursing care at home. The available reviews reflect both gratitude for attentive, encouraging clinicians and dissatisfaction with particular visits. The business has a customer rating of 2.7 from 17 reviews, so readers should weigh the range of reported experiences rather than relying on a single account. Ask questions about services, scheduling, clinician qualifications, and communication before arranging care. Hours are not listed in the provided business information; contact the provider directly to confirm current availability and whether its services fit your needs.

Worse experience. The nurse Julie showed up to the property in her Mercedes Benz and judged the living situation (travel trailer) of my neighbor immediately. After talking with him told my neighbor that because the order says daily he would have to go to the hospital and tell the hospital to admit him to a nursing home because home health can not come out daily to do that task. She called a couple of days later and threatened to call DCF if he didn’t go to the hospital. He was taken that very night and the Emergency Room Physician “second opinion” was that he needed to follow with his doctor as planned this week. The er doctor did not see a reason to admit him to a nursing home. She called again the next day and spoke with his brother once again threatening to send DCF and insisting he be admitted to a nursing home. This poor man called me crying thinking DCF was going to force him into a nursing home. Best part. Today I get a call and DCF is at the home. The allegations read were completely false and the findings unsubstantiated. I pray no one else has been treated with such cruelty by other nurses working for baycare as Julie has with my neighbor

I had a birmingham hip resurfacing. The doctor must contract with this company, because they just sent out the therapist. The first guy showed up reeking of alcohol at 9 am. He did not have bandages, he did not have a BP monitor, and he did not know what he was doing. I was charged anyway, of course, and the company would not discuss waiving those fees. I was put on hold until someone hung up. The follow up people were...they were better. Still not worth a third of the money that ins and I had to pay. I hate this company. They don't do much at all except CYA things so that the doctor doing the surgery can blame someone else if something goes wrong. Their advice stank and honestly I feel violated that the guy ever stepped foot in my house. Thanks, Baycare Home Care!

After having a right total knee replacement, I had Baycare home Physical Therapy and I can’t say enough. They were there the first two weeks after surgery, they were professional, encouraging and very helpful. My Physical Therapist’s JoJo and Natalie were awesome not just with their knowledge but their compassion. I would highly recommend them if you want 100% the best therapy
