Sign in to reviewI ordered 9 bean and cheese tacos (they were advertised as 3 for $5.99 I believe ), and my total came to $18.02. Unfortunately, I have to give this place 1 star because none of my kids liked them. My kids have never complained about bean and cheese tacos from any restaurant before, but this time they all said they were gross. The tortillas were soggy, the cheese had a strange taste, and they even used square sandwich cheese instead of shredded cheese, which was really disappointing. Honestly, bean and cheese tacos are one of the simplest things to make, so it’s surprising they got them so wrong. It’s a bummer because this is the only taco place close to our apartment, and I was really hoping it would be good. They don’t take credit cards, they used to take Cash App but do take Apple Pay.
Been eating here for years, never had a bad meal. If you order 2 carne asada, with cheese and guacamole, on flour tacos " meat a little crispy", Ben will think it's me, and you will soon be enjoying tacos ever. My wife who is very picky has also enjoyed all her meals.
Wow, wow, wow, this is a gem, a truly authentic, palate pleasing Mexican restaurant. If you’re visiting San Antonio, you have to make the drive out here, no regrets, worth the 20-30 min drive from downtown. The service, the food, the prices, all a yes, yes, yes!
The sauce for the red enchiladas did not taste homemade, the chicken tacos had too much seasoning. The tacos de carne asada were delicious, salsa was good, tortillas were good. The meal was ok. Service was great.
The tortillas were amazing but the wait was horrible the service was not great at all. I was sitting here about an hour and wasn’t offered one refill. The building is outdated and dingy inside and out. The prices are outrageous for tacos I’ve never paid 4$ for bean and cheese before. The plate prices were affordable but the food wasn’t worth the wait. I had the huevos rancheros and I was asked if I wanted the ranchera salsa on top of course I did and when it came it was literally just warmed up pace picante chip salsa. Beans were good but the eggs on my plate had shells in them unfortunately. The waitress was hard to order some tacos to go and even harder to find when we wanted to cash out. It was super crowded inside as well as hot.
