Billy Tse Restaurant is a Pan-Asian restaurant at 240 Commercial St in Boston, MA, serving diners in the city’s North End and waterfront area. The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., making it an option for lunch, dinner, or a meal later in the evening. Its menu spans familiar Chinese-American dishes and sushi, so it may suit guests looking for different kinds of Asian-inspired food in one place. Customer feedback is mixed, and the restaurant’s 4-star rating across 339 reviews offers one useful reference when deciding whether it fits your plans.

Customer mentions give a practical sense of what you might find on the menu. General Tse’s chicken, beef and broccoli, vegetable fried rice, sushi, and spicy maki rolls appear in reviews. One diner enjoyed General Tse’s chicken alongside a spicy maki sushi trio, while another described the food as good American-style Chinese and appreciated that a delivery request for extra hoisin was followed. These accounts suggest options for guests who want familiar takeout-style Chinese dishes as well as sushi. Individual experiences vary, so it is worth checking the current menu and sharing any dietary needs clearly when ordering.

The dining experience also receives varied descriptions. Some reviewers praise an inviting atmosphere and welcoming staff, and one customer appreciated extra care with an order. Other diners have reported rude or inattentive service, along with concerns about food quality and a request related to an allergy not being followed. Those reports do not establish what every visit will be like, but they are important context for guests choosing a restaurant. If you have an allergy or other dietary restriction, communicate it directly to staff and confirm how it will be handled before placing your order.

With its Commercial Street address and daily hours, Billy Tse Restaurant may be convenient for people nearby who want a sit-down meal or delivery featuring Chinese-American favorites and sushi. It can be a fit for casual lunches, dinners with friends or family, and groups whose members prefer different menu styles. Reviews point to both positive meals and disappointing visits, so expectations should be grounded in the range of customer experiences rather than any single account. For the most current details, confirm the menu, availability, and order options with the restaurant before visiting or ordering.

Alright food but rude staff. Came in for lunch around 3pm, restaurant was totally empty but the server acted like we were a bother to him. Ordered sushi with no ginger due to allergy, they still put ginger on the plate.

The food was honestly horrendous. Ordered the beef and broccoli plate and vegetable fried rice. The beef was very very bad cheap quality. The texture was way too soft. The fried rice was tasteless and seemed old. Less than 12 hours later our party became sick. Worst $80 spent. Do not know how they're staying open under these conditions. I strongly discourage anyone from eating here. Update: They failed their health inspection less than a week after my visit. Not to mention they've failed their health inspection test 8 TIMES in less than two years.

Good American style Chinese food. Ordered delivery. They honored my request for extra hoisin, which I appreciated greatly!

I stumbled onto this restaurant by chance and I’m so grateful I did! I ordered the General Tse’s chicken and a spicy maki sushi trio. Both meals were phenomenal, but the thing that really won me over was the extra mile the staff went to without being asked. I walked in the rain to get this meal for my family. When asked over the phone how many people the meal was for, I responded, not expecting them to place plates, silverware, fortune cookies and napkins for each member. They also added a tub of miso soup that I hadn’t ordered but after being out in the rain, it was greatly appreciated! Whenever I return to the north Boston area, I’ll be sure to stop in! Thank you guys
