every time I come, Gloria gives me the best haircut of my life. She knows exactly what to do with the ideas I present and always pulls it off flawlessly, she’s a total genius. I brought my partner for the first time yesterday and he raved about the quality of service with Taylor as well and said that he’d for sure come again!! The haircut I got yesterday might actually be THE best haircut of my life though and I want to tell the world that Gloria’s a genius and I was complimented a bunch of times yesterday running errands in my neighborhood <3
Blackroom is full of talented and enthusiastic stylists who provide a very welcoming atmosphere. I love that the pricing isn't gendered and the stylists take their time to getting to know your hair and preferences. The owner, Sam, creates a great culture and also cuts my curly hair to perfection! Rachel has been coloring my hair for about 6 years now, and I'm still constantly impressed by her professionalism and attention to detail. She's always taking classes and learning new techniques to hone her craft. I'm a fake redhead, but people are always surprised my hair color isn't natural. Rachel knows how to work with her clients' unique needs and provide realistic recommendations. I'll be very sad if she ever moves away, but I know I'm in good hands with anyone in the salon. I've had some great haircuts from Lex, and Kori gave my partner an EPIC mullet! Truly the best in the business!
Rachel is a wonderful stylist. I have challenging hair and she has never made me feel bad about it! She’s totally welcoming of whatever vibe you’re feeling— chatty or not. She’s very kind and warm and talented! Everyone else at the salon is also wonderful and friendly. I often see them offering help to each other and it’s lovely to see the team’s comradery.
I went to Blackroom about three weeks ago for a last minute transformation cut and could not be happier still with the experience! I went from a grown out bob to a bixie style cut, and initially booked my appointment wrong and the desk team was so helpful in helping me fix my booking. I had Kori, who was insanely lovely and listened to me as I expressed my concerns with going shorter with my hair and it fitting me and my body, to which she said “I think it’s more if it fits your style!” Which has completely changed my confidence and views around myself and my hair. Everyone at Blackroom is so sweet and caring and cares about their clients, and I’m so lucky I was booked with Kori for her great vibes and her incredible expertise.
