The customer favorites shared in reviews range from savory breakfast plates to substantial sandwiches and burgers. Several reviews talk about sharing dessert after breakfast, making Breads On Oak a good option when your group wants both a savory dish and a sweet finish. Drinks noted by customers include dirty chai and iced matcha. Reviews are personal experiences rather than a guarantee that every item will be available on a particular day, so check with the restaurant about current offerings and ingredients.

The atmosphere comes through in comments about friendly encounters and consistent service, as well as repeat visits from people who have made the restaurant a regular stop. Its daytime hours make it suited to breakfast and lunch plans, a casual catch-up, or a meal with family and friends. Feedback is not uniformly positive: one reviewer reported feeling dismissed when asking about gluten-free bread and was unhappy with the value of the salad. If you have specific dietary needs or concerns about ingredients, availability, or pricing, it is worth confirming details before ordering. For a visit to Breads On Oak in New Orleans, arrive during its posted daily hours and choose from the dishes and baked goods currently on offer.

This place ROCKS!!! We enjoyed our breakfast so much during the first visit that we ordered desserts to go, then came back a couple days letter for another meal. Walnut cinnamon roll > apple cinnamon roll Boston cream donut = DIVINE Blueberry tea biscuit= moist, dense, and delicious Dirty chai with with oat milk = 😄 Chocolate ganche cake = ⭐ Chocolate chip walnut cookie was also good. Partner really liked his mushroom toast. Very excited to learn that they ship! Especially during Mardi Gras season, as we def want to get a king cake This is an absolute treat for vegans, especially when traveling. 100% worth the rideshare and commute from the "touristy" area. So good, you don't even realize it's missing dairy or eggs. Fun tip: the shop seems smaller than it is when at the check out counter. Explore the other dining spaces. It's got cool vibes.

My favorite restaurant in the whole world!! We come to NOLA just to eat here. Our favorite things are the Big Daddy Burger, the creole omelette toast, and the pumpkin cheddar breakfast biscuit - we order all 3 and split them, and then get dessert to share at night. But everything on the menu is delicious. Totally reasonable pricing - portions might seem small if you’re tubby like us but they are dense! The store is also so cute with plenty of seating. We also of course love the king cake when we can get it. We recommend this to everyone. Our only complaint is that we miss the old location because it was easier to access for us when visiting for conferences or other reasons. We are happy to make the trip but we would get Breads on Oak every day if we could - and we were able to do this when the other location was open. Some other special things are they have free bread tasting on Sunday with vegan butter included and they often have dessert free samples. Thank you for the amazing food and memories!!

Since locating to New Orleans ten plus years ago, I was introduced to this restaurant that I pretty much order the same thing. Pumpkin Cheese Biscuit with Scrambled Tofu...out of this world! The food is always consistent as is the service, and friendly encounters. I often run into folks I hadn't seen in years. It's a community place to go to when new in town, as for those associated with sustainable work.

I didn’t love my experience at Breads on Oak. When i ordered at the counter, the employee looked immediately annoyed when I asked if they had any gluten free bread. I got the only gluten free items which was a salad and the brownie along with an iced matcha. The salad was $16 but I don’t feel it’s worth that. Presentation pictured here. I also didn’t think the matcha was tasty- and I am a matcha fan. The brownie was awesome though. The ambiance was just ok. It smelled like an old persons home in the back room.
