Sign in to reviewMy family and I went to eat Brodard on my last day in California. They said that this was their go to place whenever they're in Orange County, so we decided to try it. The inside was really spacious and modern. The restaurant was really busy for a Sunday afternoon. The service was nice and attentive. We got their Roasted Duck Salad ($19.95), 2 Duck Buns ($13.00), and 4 of their famous Grilled Pork Spring Rolls ($12.00). Everything was delicious and flavorful! Portions were really large for the price. The spring rolls had friend onions inside which was new to me but surprisingly it worked well with the grilled pork inside the rolls. The sauce was really good too. With the large portions and the rich flavors of our meals, I was really satisfied with my time at Brodard.
We came for lunch around noon... what a busy place. And I can understand why. Great menu options, flavorful rolls and good service. We were a party of 4. We ordered a few rolls so we can their variety of options Vegetarian Roll was my least favorite. Kinda on the bland side even with sauce. Eggplant Tempura Roll-tasty would get again Duck Roll- was my favorite! Coconut Shrimp Roll- if you like coconut get it... because that's all you taste. Lotus salad- yum! Love the crunch and the little bit of heat you get. Jackfruit salad- sweet and flavorful. I couldn't decide which salad was better. Food portions are generous and easily sharable too! I would definitely return!
Dropped by over the weekend as we were in the area. This was out second time here. The place wasnt very busy so we were seated fast. We ordered 2 rolls and one duck salad. The flavors s of the rolls were blan to very mild. It tasted mostly of deep fried oil due to the fried wonton like skin in the center. The duck salad was okay, but once you put the sauce on you can't taste anything but the sauce. 3 star overall, but 2 stars for the food.
Came on a busy Friday night. Line moved quickly. They also have a bar. Menu has a lot of options. Vietnamese Spring roll is tasty. The grilled pork paste frsh roll is also a hit. Staffs are quick and attentive. Parking is large but can be hard during busy hours.
Fantastic as always. I realized that I never left a review on this restaurant..... famous for the spring rolls. As we wanted a lighter dinner and the waiting times are usually very long during the weekend, we decided to visit Friday evening. Great choice as it's not nearly as busy which also means that service is on point. Our spring rolls, crepe dish (it's an appetizer but still good in size) are both authentic and the sauces served with both give your taste buds a nice journey. They actually make those dishes shine. Our taro che and flan tart desserts are ditto delicious and especially the appearance of the taro che was so pretty.... a small art piece. Lastly, the restaurant itself is cozy, welcoming, but not too noisy. It's still easy to have a conversation. Pro tip to avoid crowds -- go at night, preferably after 7pm.
