BỤI QUÁN is a Vietnamese restaurant tucked inside Hong Kong City Mall in southwest Houston, TX, at 11201 Bellaire Blvd Suite A03. If you love the spicy, layered nodle soups of central Vietnam, this is a name that comes up again and again in Houston food conversations.

The kitchen built its reputation on Bún Bò Huế với đuôi bò, the classic Huế-style bef noodle soup served with tender oxtail. Diners often describe the broth as light yet flavorful, with proteins that come out soft and satisfying. Beyond the signature bowl, the menu reaches into other comforts like Mì Bò Kho, a beef stew paired with egg noodles, and Babylon snails cooked in garlic butter for those who want something a little different. Don't skip the fresh sugar cane juice, which regulars call well-rounded and refreshing alongside a hot bowl of soup.

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, the kind of place where staff tell you to sit wherever you like even on a busy Sunday lunch. Reviewers frequently mention quick, friendly service and a team that checks in to make sure everything is right. Being inside the mall means there is plenty of parking, which makes it an easy stop for families, groups, and anyone running wekend errands in the Bellaire coridor.

BỤI QUÁN keps consistent hours, open every day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so it works well for both an early lunch and a late-afternoon nodle craving. It's a solid choice for first-timers curious about authentic central Vietnamese flavors, for groups sharing several dishes, and for regulars who simply want a reliable bowl of Bún Bò Huế close to home. Come hungry, bring friends, and settle in for a warm, no-fuss meal in the heart of Houston's Vietnamese community.

A lot of local pplz praising the BBH với đui bò (Bún Bò Huế with Ox Tail). Our party of four all had BBH with Ox Tail. The BBH was good but just not flavorful or spicy enough. The ox tail on some of them seem dark due to the hair not completely pull off of them (my mom didn’t like that). There were crab cake and dipping sauce (I think is combination of shrimp paste, lemongrass and oil could be wrong 😆) which normally doesn’t goes with bbh. The bowl is smaller then most places we been too. The sugarcane was yummy., staff was friendly and foods came out fast with no wait time to be seat even though it was pack in the little corner store. Overall enjoy the experience while we in Houston.

Today, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch, sampling the special bun bo hue noodle soup with oxtails, the mi bo kho (beef stew with egg noodles), and Babylon snails cooked in garlic butter. The bun bo broth was light yet flavorful. All the protein additions were tender and satisfying. The bo kho featured a rich and hearty broth. The beef pieces were soft and fell apart easily, just the way I prefer. The Babylon snails had a slightly chewy texture that went quite well with the garlic butter sauce. It was an excellent appetizer. On the day we visited, the restaurant offered complimentary sugarcane juice with every meal ordered, which was a lovely bonus. The staff were friendly, and the food arrived quickly. We will certainly return.

Heard so much about this place on social media for having one of the best Bún Bò Huế, and you know me—I love BBH, so of course I had to try it. We came for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was really busy, but there was no wait. The staff were very friendly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. I love the decorations in there really Hue, I forgot to took picture lol. I ordered the regular Bún Bò Huế (without oxtail). It came with everything a good BBH should have, but what really surprised me was the crab cake. I have never seen a restaurant include this, and it’s actually the real Vietnamese way. I clearly remember eating BBH in Vietnam and it always came with crab cake, but this is the only place I’ve seen do it here. I was genuinely impressed. It also came with a dipping sauce, which I believe is a mix of shrimp paste, minced lemongrass, a little oil, and kumquat juice. It was so good and completely changed my mind—I never thought BBH needed a dipping sauce, but this one works perfectly. The BBH itself was piping hot and full of flavor. If you like your BBH more bold and salty like I do, you can ask for raw shrimp paste and add a bit in—highly recommend. Honestly, this place might be my #1 BBH spot so far. It has everything I want in a bowl of BBH, so hands down to Bụi Quán. My husband ordered the Bò Kho (Vietnamese beef stew), which is his favorite, so he’s very strict with his opinion. He thought it was really good—flavorful, not too soupy. We asked for extra carrots and they were very generous. I tried it too and agreed—the flavor was there and the color looked great. Both dishes came with two full baskets of vegetables, and they definitely didn’t skimp. I love that—it really reminded me of Vietnam. Service was great overall. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Before leaving, we grabbed a sugarcane juice. For $6, you get a pretty big cup—definitely worth it. It was refreshing, and I loved the slight sourness from the kumquat. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Great food, good prices, and excellent service.

Lovely restaurant inside Hong Kong City mall. The menu was very small when I went (which I understand since they’ve been working hard in expanding). I got the Bun Bo Hue. Broth was bland, but it paired well with everything else in the bowl so it was a 10/10 for me. Service was very quick, was kind of hard to flag down our server. Definitely come if you’re in for a quick eat.
