Sign in to reviewI'm surprised at the fact that bun mam tasted better than bun rieu cua (I don't mean their bun rieu wasn't good, I just prefer bun mam). Bun mam is not for the weak, because fermented fish paste smells so strong that it's easily unlikable. But once you like it, you like it here. I will go back again for sure!
Bun rieu review. I liked it and it satisfied my craving. The bowl size was “small” but I could not finish (I have a small appetite) so I took the rest home. It tasted good reheated. I don’t like the chả with ốc (meatloaf with snail) too much, and wish there was more crab, but my craving is satisfied with this dish! Workers there are friendly but it is extremely busy during lunchtime.
This place is so misunderstood, the crab soup is exactly how it’s supposed to be, light with sweet seafood broth undertone and crab butter floats. The portion is just huge, with very fresh side veggies. I was here before in 2023 and it was so good, it has been 3 years since and I was surprised by the lower ratings, even though it tastes exactly how I remember it 3 years ago. Highly recommended, super authentic Vietnamese experience, not here for vibes, just good food 👍🏼
Nice restaurant in the heart of Saigon Town in Silicon Valley. Clean, welcoming, and offers outdoor seating with heaters. The atmosphere is great, especially on weekends. Excellent selection of Vietnamese dishes and a very enjoyable dining experience.
Delicious food. We tried a few dishes here. Aside from Bun Mam which is quite under flavor for this dish, the others were good enough. Their drinks and sweet desserts were also really tasty. I tried their sweet desserts one, Mung Bean (I think). It was sweet enough (not too sweet) to be refreshing during a hot day. My husband also said their Sam Bo Luong was good.
