Cabana Nails & Waxing is a Nail Salon at 1475 E 14th St in San Leandro, California, serving clients who are seeking nail-care appointments close to home or while visiting the East Bay. The business is open from 9:30 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday, with Sunday hours from 10 AM to 6 PM. Those seven-day hours can be useful for fitting a manicure or pedicure into a weekday routine, a Saturday errand day, or a more relaxed Sunday. Before heading over, calling ahead or confirming an appointment can help guests plan around their preferred time and service.
Customer feedback identifies several nail services and requested looks that prospective guests may want to discuss: gel manicures, regular pedicures, fills, French-tip finishes, and nail designs. This feedback provides a practical sense of what clients have brought to the salon, but it is not a complete service menu or a guarantee that every option is available at every visit. For a particular finish, design, or maintenance need, it is sensible to show a reference photo, ask whether the requested work can be completed, and clarify the desired shape, length, and details before the appointment begins. A short conversation up front helps set expectations.
With a 3.6 rating from 159 reviews, Cabana Nails & Waxing has feedback that is mixed rather than uniform. Some customers mention that nail technicians were nice, while other reviewers report concerns about consistency in finished work, the execution of detailed French tips or designs, and the relationship between price and their experience. Reviews can reflect individual appointments, styles, and expectations, so they are best read as context rather than a prediction of every visit. Guests who value precise artwork or a specific finish may especially benefit from being clear about their priorities and checking the result as the service progresses.
For San Leandro residents and visitors, this salon may be a convenient consideration when they want a locally located nail appointment and broad daily operating hours. The East 14th Street address gives local searchers a precise point to use when planning their visit. It can suit clients who prefer to communicate directly about their desired manicure, pedicure, fill, or design and who want to confirm details before committing. Asking about the current price, appointment availability, time needed, and whether a particular design can be accommodated gives a clearer basis for the visit. Cabana Nails & Waxing is best approached with an informed, service-specific conversation, allowing each guest to decide whether the salon matches their needs, budget, and expectations.

Sign in to reviewThe worst set I’ve ever had. I made an appointment for a fill and they sent me to a new person , a young man, who probably is learning and he didn’t even care to make them look good, the French tip is thick , I have bubbles and lines everywhere and whole time they are talking bad about you in their language. Charging super expensive for bad service , so greedy.
I’ve been going to Cabana’s on and off because their quality is a hit or miss. I understand their prices have to go up with time. Unfortunately, they’ve gotten overpriced and quality has taken a downturn. Lately, I was there for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The nail techs were nice, but were rushing too much. I was told my pedicure was dry and they tried to put on my sandal. The sandal damaged the nail polish on one of my toe nails and they had to retouch it. My gel manicure started lifting and peeling off on the 3rd day. It’s now been a week and the gel polish on one hand has severely chipped. I’m never going back again.
Cane to get a pedicure I asked if they can draw a design before even sitting down showed them pictures they said yes. When it was time for my design they brought me a book with stickers I told them no! I wanted my design 3 ppl surrounded me trying to draw a simple design and no one knew how finally just said put the sticker and they charged me 10$ each total of 20$ for the stickers never again
Took my special needs brother out for the day and we decided to get our nails done. I used to get mine done somewhat frequently, but I haven't had my nails done in a year and a half due to Covid. I was hoping they would fix up my cuticles and skin around my fingers because they are a HOT MESS thanks to all the hand sanitizer and general lack of upkeep over the last 1.5 years. The nails and polish look good, he had fun, but my hands are still painful and kind of gnarly looking. They should also probably have their white leather chairs professionally cleaned because they look and feel pretty gross.
So - this place is very mid of the way.. with really high prices .. so if you are ready to drop $80 bucks before the tip for pedicure be my guest .. I am not going back because I’ve gotten much better service for less .
