About
Cafe Di Vang is listed on FindALoco in Gretna, LA with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Vietnamese Restaurant.
Cafe Di Vang is a Vietnamese restaurant at 2139 Stumpf Blvd Ste f in Gretna, LA. It is a late-night option for Vietnamese food, with evening hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The restaurant is closed Monday through Thursday; Friday and Saturday hours are 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., while Sunday hours are 7 p.m. to midnight. That schedule makes Cafe Di Vang especially relevant for people looking for a meal or snack later in the evening, rather than a daytime restaurant. Its listed rating is 4.1 from 63 reviews, offering local diners a useful starting point as they decide where to eat.
Customers mention a varied menu of Vietnamese dishes and familiar favorites. Reviews call out spring onion clams and short ribs for their flavor, as well as generous fried rice that one diner especially enjoyed after moving back to New Orleans. Other reported orders include bo tai chanh, described as enjoyable with a spicy dipping sauce, chao long with a balanced flavor, chicken wings, appetizers, and BBH. These firsthand details can help visitors choose what to try, while individual experiences and preferences will naturally differ. Some dishes may be substantial: one guest enjoyed both the clams and short ribs but found ordering both to be more food and expense than expected. If you are deciding how much to order, starting with a few dishes to share may be a practical approach.
The setting is described by guests as a place to visit with friends, particularly on karaoke evenings. Reviewers say karaoke is available Friday and Saturday, with Asian and English songs upon request. That combination of late hours, food, and karaoke may suit a casual night out when your group wants more than a quick meal. The feedback also reflects a straightforward, informal dining experience: one visitor noted food served on styrofoam plates, while still finding several dishes surprisingly good. Cafe Di Vang may appeal to diners who prioritize flavorful Vietnamese food and a relaxed, social outing over a formal restaurant setting.
Service experiences in the reviews are mixed, so it is useful to arrive with a little patience and make your needs clear when ordering. One reviewer mentioned waiting to get staff attention and suggested being patient; that is an individual account, not a guarantee of what every visit will be like. For the most useful visit, consider checking current hours before heading out, especially around the late closing times, and ask the restaurant about menu availability or karaoke requests. If you are exploring Vietnamese food in Gretna, Cafe Di Vang offers a selection that guests have described through dishes such as fried rice, clams, short ribs, bo tai chanh, chao long, and BBH, in an evening-focused setting where friends can gather and, on select nights, sing.

Excellent flavor!!! I enjoyed both the spring onion clams as well as the short ribs. I probably shouldn't have ordered both because that was a lot of food and more expensive than I thought. But it was delicious!
Never been there yet, I do make too many reviews. It was first impression and the vibe when u walk in . Be patient get there attention. Then order what you need... they r not too good on following up. But they do karaoke Asian and English upon request on Friday and Sat evenings.
Baby!! Let me tell yall about this place right here. Their fried rice is off the chain. I haven't had any good fried rice since I moved back to NOLA. I don't know anyone out here that's better than them. They are not stingy at all. Please don't second guess if you're coming here or not. Just get your key to your car and bounce. I truly loved the atmosphere and people. The food is served within 20 to 30 minutes of you sitting down. Okay! Well it depends on knowing what you want. Everything was cooked fresh. It's a good after hours spot.
Surprisingly good food served on styrofoam plates. Bo tai chanh was good with a nice spicy dipping sauce. Chao long had a good balance of flavors. Chicken wings were a bit dry but otherwise it was a pretty decent late night snack.
This is the place you can find best food if you are in town with your friends That’s the place if you are in karoake night And order great BBH and appetizers
