Sign in to reviewI’m a dumpling loving girl and this place hit. the. spot. My family and I enjoyed the chicken kothey momo, the jhol momo and the chicken chilly momo. The ones that had spice were a lovely amount, enough for a kick but not too much to hurt. We were also treated to an off the menu chicken curry with rice. I was skeptical not being a big fan of curry, but this Nepali version was right up my alley. Delicious. Gonez (Marco) was wonderful, thank you for the meal!
LOVE this place. If you are a fan of Nepalese or Indian food (or both) I highly recommend you try Cafe Everest. My go-to is the Goat Biriyani. Incredibly flavorful, tender (meat falls right off the bone), and it makes you want to return for more. Tonight, my dad and I tried the Everest Plate which is their sampler plate, Chicken Tikka Masala, and their Wok-Tossed Momo (not pictured as my dad took a bite too soon). Everything was spot on. The owner, Marco, is incredibly friendly and it’s always a pleasure talking to him. He’s extremely talented and truly cares about his craft. This is a smaller business with amazing food and warm service so I really hope to see more people support it!! 😊
The man who served and cooked for us was super friendly and helpful to guide us on which Momo’s to get. We got the jhol momos which were very delicious, and a yummy breakfast burrito too.
The cashier was friendly and patiently answered our questions. I had the shrimp plate, which has a piece of papadom bread that to me, resembled a taco shell and the plate with the vegetables and dishes on it; the shrimp combined with the flavors in the dishes made for a delicious meal, that was filling. My friend had their chicken fried rice. It’s softer than Chinese or Thai fried rice, and had green onions and you could add an egg for a dollar more, if desired. We also tried their chicken and veggie egg rolls which were also tasty. We will definitely return.
The momo at this place is the JUCIEST I’ve had in a longgggg time. The achar was perfect too and it came with his chilli oil thing that I ate by itself because it was so flavourful. Also the person who helped us was a super kind dai. 10/10 recommend. I had the pork steam momo btw.
