The banh mi are a particular draw. Reviewers have enjoyed grilled lemongrass pork, chili options, and BBQ brisket, describing the sandwiches as well-filled and packed with flavor. One customer especially praised the brisket’s tender texture and barbecue sauce alongside the crisp bite of freshly baked bread. Another called the sandwiches among the best they had tried around Portland. These are customer impressions rather than a promise that every sandwich will suit every preference, but they offer a useful guide for diners deciding what to try. If you enjoy contrasting textures, savory fillings, and a sandwich with plenty of seasoning, the banh mi are a natural place to start.
Momos bring the Nepalese side of the menu into focus. Customers describe the pork and chicken momos as handmade, juicy, and authentic, and mention varieties such as chili momo, ChatPate momo, and Jhol momo. The chili pork momo has been praised for its crispness and genuinely spicy heat, while the ChatPate version appealed to a diner who enjoyed its Indian-inspired flavors. Reviewers also call out the spicy achar, a lively accompaniment that adds extra kick. For the best experience, one customer recommends eating the momos soon after they are served. Those who like dumplings with warming spice and flavorful dipping sauce may find them especially appealing.
The setting sounds comfortable and practical, with a clean interior, easy parking, and service that customers describe as great. Reviewers also mention chai, including one who enjoyed a complimentary cup with a meal; availability may vary, so it is best not to assume it is included with every order. Killer Banh Mi & MoMo can suit a casual meal, a quick stop for a filling sandwich, or a visit with friends who want to share dumplings and compare flavors. Located on SE Powell Boulevard in Portland, it is a neighborhood option for diners curious about Nepali momo and richly seasoned banh mi in the same place.

Yummy food, great service, easy parking and nice and clean inside. This place is a winner! We tried 2 Banh mi sandwiches and both were very tasty. The BBQ brisket was perfectly cooked. Tender, melt in your mouth with yummy BBQ sauce + it's in a Banh mi so you get the crispy texture of the fresh baked bread and pickled veggies = perfection! I appreciate fusion food when it's done right! The BBQ pork was also yummy. This one was a more traditional Banh mi flavor and we brought our own hoisin sauce to complement the flavors. What I really like about this place is they have more than just Banh mi. They have momo!! These are Nepali dumplings which are either steamed or pan fried and you can get them loaded with spicy chili sauce and peppers and onions or with other sauces. We got the spicy ones as an add on to the Banh mi. They gave me a small container of spicier sauce that was delicious when used sparingly. Hubby got spring rolls and a soda for a small ad on combo price. Those were freshly fried to perfection and tasty as well. We thought we'd have leftovers but everything was so tasty we ate most of it while talking with the owner who is a really nice guy. Writing this has me craving a return trip!
I've tried several other places around Portland for bahn mi, and while they've all been satisfying, these ones are legitimately the best I've had. The ingredients are all so flavorful (I got the grilled lemongrass pork and the chili momi, highly recommend!) But they also fill the sandwiches very well. I was stuffed after having the Super Combo. The staff were friendly, the food is delicious, service was quick, prices reasonable. I will absolutely be back! FWIW, I went at 4pm on a Thursday. Traffic was getting heavy, but parking was plentiful. I would suffer the traffic for this place again.
I need to go back and try the bahn mi. I was told it's super yummy. --- Momos --- ChatPate MoMo Pork ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - almost had Indian flavors and I loved it - I like the veg - prefer the spice of the chili momo pork Chili Momo Pork⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I love the crisp -spicy is actually spicy Johl Momo Pork⭐⭐⭐⭐ - not worth - isn't very flavorful - isn't overly chewy or bad though --- bahn mi --- Lemon grass pork ⭐⭐⭐ - don't love this for some reason - not like a Vietnamese pork like something else
These momo are fire! You can definitely tell they are handmade and authentic nepali momo. The pork and chicken were both juicy, and the spicy achar has a good kick. Recommend eating right away for the best experience. The chai was a touch sweet for me, but strong and warming.
I’m very picky with my bahn mi and I loved theirs. The complementary chai tea was also delicious. As well as their homemade momo. Definitely would come back if I’m in the area
