Shoppers have specifically appreciated the produce department, herb selection, and the range of freezer items, including Chuon Chuon (Dragon Fly) products noted by a recent visitor. Whether a recipe calls for fresh vegetables and herbs, packaged sauces and seasonings, or frozen dumplings and other convenient meal components, the store offers many options to explore in one visit.
The atmosphere is that of a well-established, active local market rather than a small specialty shelf. It can be a good fit for Vietnamese households, Asian-food enthusiasts, and adventurous cooks building a pantry for everyday meals or trying dishes from different culinary traditions. Reviews also compare its pricing with other major Asian markets in the Dallas area, which can help shoppers place its offerings in the local grocery landscape. Because inventory and prices can change, especially for produce and specialty imports, visiting in person lets customers see what is currently available for their cooking plans.
As with any grocery trip, shoppers may want to check package dates and product condition before purchasing, particularly when choosing refrigerated or frozen items. Some customer reviews have raised concerns about expired products and store cleanliness, while other visitors continue to value the variety, produce, and hard-to-source ingredients. Taking a moment to inspect items can help make the visit more comfortable and informed. For anyone searching for an Asian grocery store in Carrollton, TX with a wide-ranging selection and daily hours, Carrollton Plaza Supermarket remains a notable local option for stocking a diverse kitchen.

Sign in to reviewI been going to this store for over 10 years. The price here is getting ridiculously expensive. I stop by here to get some other grocery as usual but my most important produce i needed to get was tomatoes. I saw the price and thought to myself the last time I saw Roma was around 1.20lb but it jumped to 3.50 lb. I thought to myself. Do we have a shortage on tomatoes nationwide? Why so much? I decided not to get it. I asked the cashier is this price label correctly cause it's usually not this much. She replied she doesn't know. She only does her job a cashier and aren't going to look into it either. I went to Kroger and bought my Roma for 1.26lb. If this place is really charging this price for tomato for unsuspecting customers. They will be price gouching for this and need to be alerted to state attorney general. Be very careful with prices here and items. On another occasion I bought some noodle came home boiled and found magot on the the pot as I was draining it in my strainer.
Carrollton Plaza Supermarket is a busy local spot with a wide range of Asian groceries. You’ll find everything from fresh produce to frozen goods and pantry staples — a lot of items that are hard to come by elsewhere. I noticed some Chuon Chuon (Dragon Fly) products in their freezer section recently, which is always nice to see when browsing for Vietnamese snacks. It’s one of those stores where taking your time can lead to some good finds. Worth stopping by if you’re in the Carrollton area.
This is my preferred Asian market here in the Dallas area. They have a huge inventory of everything you can imagine for Asian cuisine. The produce section is wonderful and has good pricing. I love their selection of herbs. I'm dropping one star only because they could keep this store a little cleaner and better organized. Overall, I've found their pricing competitive and high food quality. If you're tired of Walmart's poor produce selection, come to this market and you won't be disappointed.
I go to this store because they have a good variety of Asian products that are sometimes hard to find. The prices are comparable to HMart and 99 Ranch. But before you buy, beware of products that are labeled past the expiration date. Now I'm hesitant to come back.
Be careful, shoppers. They are selling expired goods here. Make sure you check the expiration date before you buy. I have already experienced this three times, buying expired products here. The last time was with chicken dumplings. I bought them on May 12 for my daughter to take to school for their Immigration Day celebration. I pan-fried the dumplings, and my daughter tasted them and immediately spit them out, saying they tasted horrible. When I tried them, I almost threw up, and I had to throw away all the remaining dumplings. I ended up buying another batch from a Japanese restaurant near me. I called them and reported the incident, but they said the manager was not available. I asked them to call me back, but I have not received any call to this day. I know the dumplings were only $10, but how can they sell customers goods that are months expired? I suspect there may be other expired items as well, so I want their management team to pay closer attention to their products and take better care of their valued customers.
