Sign in to reviewWhat a LET DOWN. Went there due to so many good reviews. The service was lackluster, had to ask the server to take our drink orders 15 minutes after we were seated. Very low quality hot tea, brought out in coffee cups of hot water with a cheap tea bag in it. No offers for refills while there. The food was a serious disappointment; all entries seemed to have been made from dried sauce packs. Curry was over thick as if they didn't add enough water to the dry powder mix. Pad Thai, though with plenty of tofu had very little flavor even though we asked for spicy. It is very obvious that these dishes were not made from scratch. The chicken curry soup was nearly tasteless. The spring rolls were deep fried at too low a temperature resulting in a greasy product that should not have been served. The atmosphere was pleasant and in nice weather their patio must be spectacular. The inside dining area tastefully decorated and the background music was just right. Really cheap stamped metal flatwear really stood out, nicer flatware would be a good touch. There is NO street parking, but there is an adequate parking lot behind the restaurant accessed by growing around the block. With more of a focus on the food this would be a Great little restaurant to take your friends to, but as it is now I will be avoiding it.
My sister and I tried this Thai spot for the first time today and unfortunately our experience wasn’t great. When we first walked in, a girl greeted us and started taking our order. We assumed she was the host or a server, but when we asked a few questions about the menu she repeatedly responded with “I don’t know.” This happened several times, and she never offered to ask another employee for help. Eventually a gentleman stepped in and finished taking our order. He was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu, which we appreciated. However, if an employee isn’t familiar with the menu, they probably shouldn’t be the one taking orders or should at least offer to ask someone who knows. The bigger issue was the food. I ordered the tom kha soup and unfortunately found three pieces of plastic in it, which was really concerning. My sister ordered a side of fried rice, and the flavor was off — it had a strange wet or humid taste that made it hard to enjoy. We were excited to try this place, but between the service confusion and the issues with the food, the experience was disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes feedback like this seriously and improves both staff training and food quality.
What a lovely find! The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. Service was speedy as well. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Whether you’re a longtime pho lover or trying it for the first time, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
Pros: atmosphere and location Cons: Food is lackluster and is made using poor ingredients and perhaps not made from scratch? The pad thai was bright red and when asked, they said they put "egg coloring" in it...the curry was super watery, the pho said "filet mignon" but is just normal round steak, "crab" in summer rolls was just imitation crab, pho was very Americanized with just meat and meatballs, instead of all the other types of meat normally. I wanted so bad to like it because there really isnt many good pho and Asian places around but the food quality just isnt great...but probably good enough for people that dont know how its supposed to be... This place could be awesome if they just put more energy into making the food better quality and cooking it more traditionally. The owner is Mexican, not Asian is part of the problem it seems...
