Ching Karl H DDS is a dental implants periodontist practice located at 299 Juana Ave # C in San Leandro, California. For people seeking periodontal care or information about dental implants in San Leandro, the practice provides a local setting focused on procedures involving the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. Its address is convenient to identify for patients looking for a specialist office in the 94577 area. The available business information does not list regular hours, so calling ahead to confirm appointment availability, office policies, and scheduling details can help visitors plan a visit. This is especially useful when coordinating specialty treatment around work, school, or family commitments.

Periodontal concerns can involve many personal and clinical questions, from gum health to planning for tooth replacement. Ching Karl H DDS is categorized for dental implants and periodontics, making it relevant for San Leandro patients exploring these types of specialized dental care. A customer review specifically references a gum graft consultation and surgery, while another long-term patient describes Dr. Ching as skilled, professional, and clear when explaining procedures. Those perspectives indicate that prospective patients can use a consultation to discuss their individual needs, the procedure being considered, and what the process may involve. Bringing prior dental records or questions from a general dentist may also make that conversation more productive.

Choosing a periodontist often means looking beyond a single appointment. Patients may want to understand the expected sequence of care, visit length, recovery considerations, and how the treatment plan relates to their goals. Review feedback for this San Leandro practice is mixed: one patient reports a positive, seven-year relationship and scheduling accommodation, while another says a gum graft visit took longer than originally expected. This makes clear, upfront communication especially valuable. Before treatment, patients can ask about the planned scope, estimated duration, follow-up visits, costs, and any concerns specific to their case. A direct discussion helps set practical expectations and supports informed decisions.

For nearby residents, Ching Karl H DDS offers a San Leandro option when a dental implant or periodontal specialist is needed. The office may be a fit for adults who have been referred for gum-focused care, are researching implant-related treatment, or want to speak with a specialist about a proposed procedure. The most useful starting point is a consultation that allows the practice and patient to review dental history, current concerns, and scheduling needs together. With the office located on Juana Avenue, local patients can confirm the current hours and appointment process directly before visiting. Thoughtful questions and a clear treatment conversation can help patients decide whether the practice matches their care preferences.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I went here a couple years back to get a gum graft surgery above my front teeth. Went for a consulting, they said they could totally do what I needed. Initially, they said it would be really quick, and take under 30 minutes. I'm there sitting for over an hour while Dr. Nathan Palanker attempts to do something that he was not qualified for. Then he said he was done, and I went home. The gum graft that he worked on proceeded to fall off within 24 hours. He reassured me that it was ok but that's probably what he says to all patients. To this day, my gumline is still messed up, and what makes it even more devastating is that it would have been better if I never came at all. He kept saying "you know it's not that bad, it's only a quarter of an inch." Imagine your gum receding, or even your tooth being chipped a quarter of an inch. That's small in life terms, but for your mouth, that's a huge, noticeable difference. I'm writing this review because the frustration has been there for a long time, and now a couple years down the line, it's coming back to bite me because someone else was not good at their job, and it's something that I still need fixed. Please be warned.

Dr. Ching is a highly skilled doctor. He explains procedures, works to accommodate your schedule and is an outstanding professional. I have gone to him for 7 years. I recommend him highly.
