Sign in to reviewAdorable atmosphere, It is spring break and they were busy, I was placed at the end of a table for 8 with 2 ladies at the opposite end having lunch. It was weird and awkward. I am sure they felt the same when I joined. I ordered the Angel Trio with chicken salad sandwich, tomato basil soup and strawberry pretzel salad. The crescent was dry, not soft & moist like it should be, the soup was rich & creamy, fabulous and the strawberry salad, it was ok, not as fresh as I have had prior at the Plano location that was purchased by new owner & changed names. I won’t be back. Not worth $17. I did not appreciate being placed within another couple. The soup was the best thing I had. Disappointed!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Chocolate Angel — Owner Melissa & Team Melissa and her team at The Chocolate Angel were absolutely phenomenal — truly lifesavers. Just two weeks before our “I Do” ceremony, our original venue (the antique shop now known as Ellie’s Café) fell through and left us scrambling. Melissa stepped in without hesitation and welcomed us to their Richardson location, completely saving our wedding plans. What could have been a stressful situation turned into one of the most beautiful and meaningful experiences we could have imagined. The setting was unique, intimate, and full of charm — perfect for our private ceremony with family. Our guests were in awe of everything: the incredible food, the attentive service, and the overall beauty of the space. Melissa and her team handled every detail with such warmth, professionalism, and care that we were able to fully relax and enjoy the moment. This wasn’t just a venue — it became a place filled with memories. My husband and I already know this is somewhere we’ll return to and continue visiting as we grow older together. If you are looking for a venue that combines elegance, heart, and exceptional hospitality, The Chocolate Angel and Melissa are truly something special. 💛
Kendra is such a warm and helpful person who always makes us feel welcome. Their cushions and drinks are absolutely wonderful. I almost always meet my friends here every week. We have a great time.
The service is not good. The dishes are broken and damaged. There were some large visible crazings on my daughter's tea cup. We felt rush to leave. The food was OK. I felt that we paid too much which what we got. I have been to many tea rooms all over the DFW and this is the worst I have been. I do not recommend.
This is my second visit to this restaurant. I loved it both times! Last year, we ate on the patio and this year inside. Both were GREAT on atmosphere! The food is yummy with very reasonable prices! I highly recommend it, especially for ladies!👏👍😁❤💖 P.S. (You might want to make reservations ahead of time. We did, and it was a Friday in May! It was busy!)
