At Classy Nail Polish, customers often come in for gel manicures, pedicures, and classic nail care, with several reviews specifically highlighting gel manicure appointments and a “classy pedicure.” Clients also mention nail technicians by name, including Jessica, Tracy, Lee, and Susan, which says a lot about the personal service people remember after their visit. Jessica, who some customers believe is the owner, is praised for doing an amazing job and for delivering the look clients ask for. That kind of detail matters when choosing a nail salon in Tustin, California, especially if you want a place where communication and results feel aligned.

Like most service businesses, experiences can vary, and one review mentioned frustration with the response to a less-than-ideal visit. Even so, the overall review pattern points to a salon that many customers return to, largely because of the quality of the nail work, the neat environment, and the professional, friendly tone of the team. Positive comments repeatedly focus on staff being responsive, accommodating, and committed to helping clients leave happy with their nails.

Sign in to reviewFirst off by saying this place is really nice. The aesthetics are beautiful, it’s very well kept, and everything always looks clean. Jessica, who I believe is the owner, does an amazing job on nails 💅🏽 and really gives you exactly what you ask for. They also have great customer service overall, so my issue is not with that. My issue is with consistency and pricing transparency. I’ve been here three times. The first time, Jessica did my nails and a man did my pedicure, and both did a great job. The second time, Jessica did my nails again, but an older lady did my pedicure. She took a very long time, and in the end my toenails were crooked. I actually had to go home and file them myself. The third time I went, Jessica was unavailable, so another woman did my nails and the same older lady did my pedicure. Not only did she cut my toenails extremely short, but the nail job itself was honestly terrible. The nails were crooked and not shaped properly at all. I was really disappointed. I usually go Monday–Wednesday because they advertise a 20% off special before 2:30 PM. A normal gel manicure and gel pedicure is supposed to cost $76, but I still ended up paying $76, so I was confused about where the discount was applied. At the time I just paid and left, but later I realized the math really wasn’t adding up. I called, and they told me the manager wasn’t there and to call back later. When I called back, he told me to come in. I did, but the salon was super busy and I didn’t want to make a scene. He basically just told me that was the correct price and claimed he had explained it to me, which he never did. Later, I called again and explained everything in detail, he finally told me they had charged me an extra $15 to remove my previous set. I explained that usually when you repeatedly go to the same salon, they don’t charge you to remove work they themselves did — especially considering I had gone there three times in a row. He told me it didn’t matter and that they charge every time for removals. At that point I said fine and decided I just wouldn’t return. Today, I went to another salon KK Nails down the street to get my nails done, and while they were removing my previous set, the nail tech asked me what I had gotten done previously. I told her just a simple gel manicure and gel pedicure polish. She then told me there was still product underneath because the previous salon never fully removed the old set. So essentially, I paid an extra $15 for them to remove something they never actually removed. Overall, the salon itself is beautiful and Jessica does amazing work, but unfortunately the inconsistency between nail techs, the poor quality of service I received the last visit, and the pricing issue left me really disappointed.
First time going — atmosphere was very welcoming from the time I stepped into the door, sat down, and overall throughout my entire appointment. I rarely ever get my nails professionally done but this has made me want to come back again and again in the future. My nail tech, Jessica (I believe) was very professional, sweet, and quick. 10/10.
I had an unhappy experience, and still tried to be nice by initially leaving 3 stars and tipping well. The staff took the time read my comment and make excuses instead of acknowledging and apologizing for the attitude of the lady doing my toes. I accidentally smudged the paint and she got angry to the point where other clients noticed, and had to walk away. I was extremely apologetic about it and even though she reacted that way. I felt so uncomfortable because she was clearly annoyed and not trying to hide it. That is enough for most people to never wanna go back. The nails are also bad. There are chunks of my french tips missing in the corners on top of the filing being uneven. I’ll leave some photos below. I just want them to take responsibility. I can’t believe they said they tried to deflect and make it seem like I have too high of standards. Just look at the photos. Saying I was changing my mind and kept adding requests throughout the service when I literally only asked for a french tip, is weird. I don’t understand how they took it that way when I had ONE extremely simple request that didn’t change throughout the whole visit. A gel french tip. I get the same thing at the salon every time. I also requested to add on and pay for a shaping and filing service obviously BEFORE starting. The only “extra requests” I was making was when I had to keep asking for the woman to file my nails again and again, because she wasn’t doing it properly. Again the woman doing my toes initially (before I smudged my them) seemed annoyed of me for asking her to straighten them out, which is something I don’t want to have to do when I’m getting my nails. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or was tired or something, but I’m 20 years old, take my spending seriously, and don’t appreciate feeling like a nuisance because I have to ask multiple times for a near $100 service to be done right. I left with my toes uneven because I didn’t wanna make her more upset. Also claimed they did their best and squeezed me in during a busy time without appointment. I don’t know what their idea of busy is, but the store was not busy at all at the time, there were 4 or 5 other clients in the salon and manyyy empty spaces. Understaffed is not equivalent to having a busy store. They said it like they were doing me a huge favor, when it’s posted everywhere online and in the store that walk-ins are accepted. Even if that was the case, it’s no excuse for how my nails turned out, and if you are unable to do a decent job on walk ins, don’t take them!! The store inferring that I should accept bad service because I was a walk-in makes no sense at all. They also said I was in a rush and tried to use that as an excuse, while I 100% did not rush anyone at any point during the service. I know good work takes time. I prefaced one time that I was in a rush BEFORE starting the service so that they could seat me faster. I did this because each time I’ve gone previously, they’ve lied about the wait time, saying they can take me now but then make me wait sitting in a chair for 30 minutes. I wanted to know if they could see me right away so that’s why I said ONCE before starting I had somewhere to be. And the guy who’s always working the desk said “no problem” and to take a seat, but I still waited for another 20 minutes to be helped. If they knew that they could not do a good job on a simple request, they should have said something. If they’re going to respond to critical reviews, they need to take some accountability! These are my nails after I gave up trying to get her to make them look nice. The toes are even worse 😭 They had one job!
Went here based on all the positive reviews. Note that I made an appt for 315p for a gel manicure on a Sunday and it wasn't busy so they squeezed me in for a pedicure too. The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and out going. He made me feel welcome the minute I walked in. Tracy did my nails and she did an amazing job. She suggested colors based on what I was looking for and even when I wanted to change colors, she jumped up right away to find the right color for me. She was very patient and meticulous. She paid attention to make sure she covered my entire nail with polish. She was very friendly too and kept asking to make sure I was comfortable. Very well mannered.
I just left my appointment for a gel manicure and classy pedicure. Lee did my nails, Susan did my toes. I think they both did a great job, and Lee was positively responsive when I asked for a second top coat to cover a patchy clear coat. It was a little rocky in the beginning, I asked for a couple things (light buffing and filing bc my nails are sensitive, and 2 coats of red). Lee did her own thing and I didn’t say anything, but my nails came out beautifully. I’ll update my review over time regarding the quality and how long these nails last, but so far - I’m happy with how they look and I was very surprised to get 15% for coming on a Thursday! Support these hardworking men and women in this new nail salon 💅🏼
