Sign in to reviewI really enjoyed this place. I bit outside the downtown area but in a nice street with several other places. The interior is relatively small but well decorated. This place is best for 2-4 people. The food was cooked by a seasoned cook from the motherland. They only had one server when we went there for lunch, but things moved relatively well. I really enjoyed the mocktails. The food was all around solid with a lot of flavor and plenty full. They also have an extensive selection of cocktails. Overall, I would give this place a visit and enjoy some really good Vietnamese food.
Just paused a moment from this wondrous meal to write this. This is the second time I’ve come here. I refrained from a second order of Oysters. They were great, but the flavor from the “Filet Cheese “Phorench” Dip, Beef Pho Broth Banh Mi will send you to a familiar place you’ve never been to before. You will remember what content is once you’ve finished.
A gem!! The papaya salad is a crinkle cut like a french fry and an absolute surprise and delight. I’ve heard the buns are to die for and look forward to trying those next time. They crush it with the soft lighting and vibes too. Maybe I’ve just gone in on slower nights but I don’t know how this spot isn’t packed all the time.
We went here on a Saturday around 3pm and were able to get seated right away. The inside is small and large selection at the bar. It is nicely decorated and could be a good evening spot to hang and drink. We got the ibiza, which is their sweetest drink, and the saigon french quarters, which was strong. Both were good and I look forward to trying other drinks here. They have quite the menu for drinks- alcoholic, non alcoholic, wine, juice, tiki drinks, etc. As for the food, I really enjoyed the roti and the fried wicked buns. The buns remind me of vietnamese donuts and are on the sweet side. They weren't dry at all or hard. They are not that dense either. The ribs and pork belly were fine, but I would be interested in trying more of their other food menu items as well. Parking is on the street and may be hard to fine. Staff was nice and attentive.
I'm Vietnamese and this might be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in all of Northern California. The sugar cane spring rolls, Bo Luc Lac (steak and rice), FRIED CHICKEN (melts in your mouth and the side salad that comes with it is SO GOOD!) are my favorite dishes. Khoi was our server and super kind, and Qui, the chef, was so talented in making these dishes presentable and cooking it all very fresh right in front of us! 12/10 recommend.
