The food is absolutely amazing! I went there on a friend’s recommendation and visited around 4 PM, which was a quiet time—perfect for enjoying the meal and receiving the full attention of the server. Everything we ordered was delicious. The egg rolls and the taro dish were unbelievably good, and the vegetables were fresh and flavorful. We loved every single dish we tried. This is a 10/10 Vietnamese restaurant that I proudly recommend!

I went to Cơm Niêu restaurant in Houston, TX, for a late lunch. It is a small restaurant, but the atmosphere is nice. I ordered a pot of rice (cơm niêu) cooked in a clay pot with catfish sweet and sour soup. I really liked their crispy cơm riêu because it was so crispy and crunchy. Their catfish sweet and sour soup was delicious. The server was very nice. I will definitely come back in the future. If you like crispy rice in a clay pot, then I would highly recommend coming here.

Our first time trying out this restaurant and we’re glad we did. We came right at opening time and were the first table they had. Not even 15 minutes in, the place was packed and people were waiting outside the door. We came for the popular sour fish soup (canh chua) and the carmelized catfish (cá kho tộ). Both were delicious! The other dishes were also good. The servers were very quick and friendly. However, we were a little disappointed that they didn’t have any of the clay pot rice (cơm niêu) cooked and ready for service. After all, the restaurant is named after that one dish.
