Com Tam Que Huong is a beloved Vietnamese restaurant located on Bolsa Avenue in the heart of Westminster, California. Situated at the corner of 9500 Bolsa Ave, this welcoming eatery serves the kind of homestyle broken rice dishes that remind many Vietnamese Americans of meals shared with family back home. With a solid 4.1 rating from nearly 200 reviews, Com Tam Que Huong has earned a loyal following among locals who appreciate authentic flavors, generous portions, and a straightforward dining experience.

The star of the menu is, without question, the com tam — Vietnamese broken rice. The Com Tam Dac Biet, or special combo, is a standout choice that brings together grilled meat, fluffy broken rice, and a range of savory accompaniments. Reviewers consistently highlight the juicy, well-seasoned thit nuong and the perfectly balanced nuoc mam dipping sauce that ties each plate together. The crispy tofu is another favorite, praised for its flaky texture and satisfying crunch. The egg cake, served in a generous portion, strikes the right balance between tender and firm without being greasy or rubbery. Every element on the plate is prepared with care, and the steam rice itself is noted for its pleasant aroma and ideal moisture — exactly the way good com tam should be.

Service at Com Tam Que Huong is generally quick and friendly, with attentive staff who keep things moving even during busy hours. The restaurant offers plenty of seating and convenient parking, which makes it an easy choice for both dine-in meals and takeout orders. The location at the corner of Bolsa Avenue is simple to find and not overly crowded, so first-time visitors should have no trouble stopping by. It is worth noting that the restaurant is closed on Thursdays, so plan your visit accordingly if you are coming from outside the Westminster area.

The atmosphere inside is clean and comfortable, with a typical Vietnamese restaurant vibe that feels familiar and unpretentious. Families with children will find it to be a kid-friendly environment where everyone can relax and enjoy a hearty meal. During peak hours, the space can get a bit lively when larger groups gather, but most diners find the energy adds to the communal feel rather than detracting from the experience. Whether you are a longtime fan of com tam or trying it for the first time, the setting here makes it easy to settle in and savor your food.

Com Tam Que Huong is a great spot for anyone craving genuine Vietnamese comfort food in Westminster. It is especially well-suited for families, groups of friends, or solo diners looking for a satisfying and affordable meal. The restaurant is open from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, making it a reliable option for both an early lunch and a relaxed dinner. If you find yourself on Bolsa Avenue and want a taste of home-style Vietnamese cooking, Com Tam Que Huong is well worth a visit.

Love the food here. Their meals are flavorful and meat is juicy. Their egg cake is a decent size and not overly greasy. The texture is great and not rubbery either. Service here is quick and friendly and they have plenty of seating and parking. It can get a bit loud inside with larger crowds. I recommend the choose your meats entrees. I love the pork sausage, egg cake and grilled beef. Hubby also loves the shredded pork. They also offer buy 2 get 1 free meals and they have a great variety of meals to choose from. Restaurant is clean and can get pretty busy on the weekends. We will definitely be back again as it is one of our favorite places and since their other location closed down, this will be our new spot. They even had a gentleman playing a small keyboard and singing the day we went. They also offer orders to go.

The Com Tam has brought back so many memories. I think I had the Com Tam Dac Biet with the Thit Nuong. The Crispy tofu was so flaky and delicious, it was the highlight of the meal, the nuoc mam (fish sauce) was more thsn enough and very balanced, and the bi was very flavorful. Such a comfort food. Highly recommend if you want a taste of Vietnamese food.

The restaurant is very clean, located at the corner. Not too busy so easy to park. The steam broken rice is kind of special, smell so good, enough moisture and dry enough as Com Tam should be. I gave it 4 star because the employee (young female) was not as nice as she should be. I asked for an extra cup of water but she indirectly denied me.
