Sign in to reviewThis chain, Corner Bakery Cafe, focuses on baked goods, light meals, and coffee. Most of their locations are in office areas or shopping centers, so I think of it as one of those easy go-to spots for a quick workday meal. They run promos pretty often, and overall the food quality has been consistently solid. Right now they have a great deal running through 4/30/2026: choose any two items from pasta, salad, sandwich, or soup for $6.99. It’s honestly a really good value. My friends and I visited Huntington Beach location and I do show and mention the promo code when ordering, so I’d recommend just grabbing a screenshot online before you go. I noticed the three groups ahead of me didn’t seem to know about the deal and ordered at full price. When it was my turn, I double-checked with the cashier and they confirmed we can pick any two items from the menu for $6.99. I ordered the pasta and a chicken sandwich, and my friends got the chicken salad and a chicken sandwich. The pasta also came with a slice of bread, and honestly that alone already filled me up. I ended up taking the sandwich to go. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. The cashier and service are great as usual. Just a heads up, this $6.99 deal is not available on third-party delivery apps. Participating locations are in California and Washington, DC only.
I haven’t been to a corner bakery for almost a decade and wanted to see if it will ever be as good as when I first tried it close to 17 years ago. Well it wasn’t but its barely okay. Staff seemed tired from being understaffed. That reflected in the food and the food quality. I think it may be another decade or more before I’ll return.
This is my third time visiting this location. Service has usually been pleasant, and the food has always been good. Today, however, I placed a to-go order and checked it in my car before leaving. I noticed the bacon was extremely thin and floppy—more like precooked, microwaved bacon rather than what I’ve had here before. I went back inside to ask if they had changed their bacon, and was told this was the only bacon they use now. I was offered an extra slice, which I declined. Unfortunately, it felt like a downgrade in food quality, and it gave the impression that management may be cutting corners. I hope this isn’t a permanent change, as it’s disappointing compared to my previous visits.
The best Chocolate Croissant I've found in a long time. Very Soft and full of creamy, yummy chocolate! Service is friendly, kind, fast. Lovely, large outdoor patio, great for the good weather days. Inside is OK, a bit too cramped. They have pastas, sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, and breakfast (didn't see that menu as I arrived at 1pm). Coffee and coffee drinks, teas, soda, juices.
So the food was great, got a wrap, a croissant sandwitch and a pasta. The coffee..was terrible. I ordered myself a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, he made it by filling the cup with water and ice about 3/4ths of the way and then added some cold brew and then a splash of sweet cream...you don't add water to cold brew. There are concentrates but that was not what that was so, it tasted like I got cold brew flavored water. I also ordered two Carmel Macchiatos, they were bad too. I dont know if the machines were clogged or they are using the wrong grind but again...tasted a whisper of coffee in both. Very disappointed since all three of those were over 6 dollars each just to get coffee flavored water.
