Sign in to reviewCame in for a simple French tip. The tech already had an attitude but I brushed it off. Before she even started painting I asked if she could make the tip more curved and she said that would be $15 extra. I declined. The French came out crooked and she offered to add lines, which felt like she was trying to cover up the mistakes. I paid $70 (+$10 tip) and left disappointed. At the end she commented, ‘oh you came in with worse nails,’ which was unnecessary. Just sharing my experience. I won’t be coming back.
I always love my nails!! Been coming for years and literally have no complaints. From start to finish service is amazing! I can’t wait to come back again
I had an amazing experience. My Nail tech was awesome and my pedicure is Mary was amazing. Don’t hesitate to book with her.
This was my first visit to this salon. First impressions are everything. The salon had a nice ambiance. The staff was nice. I appreciated that my service started at my appointment time as I arrived early as requested. Gracie did a good job with my pedicure. Although I did not get the hot towels around my feet or neck as shown in the description of the spa signature pedicure. That’s actually my favorite part. I didn’t say anything because I was taking this all into consideration for future visits. Plus, I was really tired, falling asleep a few times at the beginning of them starting my nails. I also wish she would have shown attention to both of my big toes that happened to have vertical ridges and given them a gentle buff for a more even look when the toenail was polished. Michelle did my gel manicure and eyebrow wax. On the manicure, I wanted a square round shape. A few nails are more round than square round. The shaping was slightly uneven on a few nails, with one of my index fingernails being more round on one side and more square round on the other side. It is messy around the fingernail beds with the gel nail polish, as she chose to try to wipe off access with her nail instead of using a tool and some remover to go back around my nail bed to avoid messing up the polish. So the paint around my fingernail beds looks jagged. I liked the paint job on my toes better with the regular nail polish as Gracie did not have as much of a jagged edge at my toenail beds. I’ll be honest and say I didn’t speak up at first just knowing I probably wouldn’t come back in the future. The first picture of my hand is my nails right out of the shop in daylight. I washed my hands when I got home. Some of the excess paint came off from around the nail bed, so it looks a little cleaner, but excess can still be seen a bit, like around my thumbs. I worked to stay positive as she was finishing up, at one point admiring the color and saying aloud that I liked my nails, seeing I found that as a positive. She responded, “Oh, you don’t like them. You love them!” Pressing on from there to make sure to leave a review before I left. I was too tired to put up a fight and was ready to go. I didn’t get a chance to finish the review as she was ready for me to come to the back for my eyebrow wax. I don’t have very thick eyebrows, so I was satisfied with the clean up she gave them to give a bit of shape instead of making them thin. However, after I did my eyebrows, I decided to bring up to Michelle that I thought it was a bit messy around my nail bed. Before I could go further, she responded, “Yes, very pretty….” I zoned out on anything else she continued on about as she sent me on my way. Outside of being nice, I expect a level of excellency with my service that the salons have been failing to meet to keep earning my dollar. I don’t get my nails done often, so I was looking for a treat. It was ok. Fool me once, shame on me. I think I’ll consider paying more for a private nail tech for consistency in the future. That’s what’s missing. I shouldn’t have to figure out who’s the best in the shop through trial and error. That game is old and time is precious.
This place is not friendly to black people. The woman who did my nails was nice. However, she rushed through my pedicure. People who were there before me finished long after me. She barely gave me a massage. The customer service was poor. When I came in, I was not greeted by anyone. The woman working the front desk was very rude. When I left, she said nothing to me. I went to my car to grab cash to tip the woman who did my pedicure. When I came back and handed the woman at the front desk the money, she simply grabbed it and turned around, saying nothing to me. There seemed to be a striking difference between how I, a black woman, was treated versus how the non-black customers were treated.
