The crawfish was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with bold taste, while the salt & pepper shrimp was crispy, aromatic, and cooked just right. Every bite felt fresh and high quality. Im in town from Minnesota for a Goose concert and had just enough time to get one meal in town and I’m off to Austin tomorrow morning. I made the right choice!!! The Viet-Cajun crawfish and shrimp were out of this world! The staff was extremely nice and attentive. The owners were preparing some dishes for catering and were delightful to talk to and they gave me some yummy samples. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Houston.
I liked everything we ordered the Viet-Cajun crawfish and crab, grilled oysters, and the Thai basil fried rice. If you’re a scallion fan like me, you’ll love the oysters! Also, the Thai basil fried rice was really chewy, almost like it was made with glutinous rice. The Viet-Cajun sauce is so good with the noodles too. We couldn't even finish our 6lbs of crawfish, so we took the rest home! Only downside was the calamari,it was a bit too sweet for my taste when I was expecting something savory. Apparently, Viet-Cajun is a "must-eat" in Houston. Since we went in the peak season (March to May), the crawfish were great. Definitely the best time to go.
Returned after not visiting for more than 2 years. I must say that everything exceeded my expectations. Service was exceptional. Someone checked on us at least every 5 minutes. As a Cajun I would say that medium heat on viet Cajun is not spicy at all so next time I will order HOT! Salt and pepper crab was delicious. Fish sauce wings are a must! If I had to give one point of improvement it would be the atmosphere and overall Aesthetics of the space. Could use a little refresh.
Sooooo delicious!! Amazing service, delicious food, ahhhhhmazing michelada! The Viet-Cajun style is absolutely suberb on the crawfish and extras like the sausage, corn, and potatoes. The grilled oysters cheese style and green onion style are super tasty. T Chan and the rest of the waiters/waitresses were attentive and kind. Can’t wait to come back.
