Me and a coworker stopped by this place today. My coworker loved it, and it was my first time trying it. I ordered the pho, sweet chili wings, and a strawberry lemonade. The food wasn’t bad at all. I felt the pho could have used a little more flavor, and the wings were okay but a little dry on the inside. On the positive side, the food came out pretty quickly, which was nice because the line can be a little long. The staff was friendly, and the rest of the menu looked delicious. I wouldn’t give it 5 stars this time, but I’d definitely come back and try some of their other dishes.” ⭐⭐⭐

I was taken to Cris and John by a friend 3 years ago and I became instantly addicted! The various fusions of Vietnamese and Mexican dishes surpasses anything on the planet. The flavor profiles are very similar so this is why this combination of foods works very well! There isn't a bad tasting item anywhere on their menu! The portions are huge and you'll probably have leftovers for that midnight snack or lunch the next day! There are vegetarian (not sure about pure vegan) and Halal options available. My go-to favorite is the Phorrito (YES! COMBO OF PHO & A BURRITO)! Slurp is all I can say! I don't think you can walk into this place and not find something your taste buds will enjoy! If you don't find something then you are probably not human!

I'm from out of town and have been wanting to try Cris & Johns for so long and I can say it was absolutely worth the wait! Friendly and efficient customer service. I got the angry pho birria platter and the lychee hibiscus tea. This tray has just enough spice; The beef short ribs were flavorful and tender but I can NOT get over the bread that was used for the bao... perfectly baked, absolutely perfect! The pho broth and noodles were another hit. I love that the wings here offer something different, I really enjoyed the bang bang sauce and sweet&sour flavors, the wings are fried crispy, they were still crispy when I microwaved them at the hotel. The fries were also fried crispy and seasoned. The drink list was such a treat, it was hard picking what I wanted to try but the lychee hibiscus tea and ube horchata were a flavorful and refreshing experience.

We drove 30+ mins for the birria bao, but we ended up getting sooo many other things! If you're going with a friend(s) like we did, the platters are a good option! Surprisingly, the sweet drama bahn mi and the beef dumpling noodles ended up being my faves! We even got a little treat from the owners, which my daughter LOVED! 🫶🏾

Food/Drinks: As it was my first time dining here, I thought that ordering something tried and true would be the best choice, so I ordered Pho with Rare Steak and Brisket. But the second I had a bite of my partner's Viet Shaking Beef Burrito, all bets were off--I was hooked on my first bite. It was as unconventional as it was tasty--even more so with the sauce they serve on the side--and everything married well together. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was pretty good, with a strong coffee taste, but not overwhelmingly sweet. Service: Unfortunately, our food went to the wrong table, and we were served an item we didn't order. But that's trivial--overall, service was alright. Food came out pretty quick, despite the rush. Also, one of the servers was kind enough to checked in on us and asked how everything was. Ambiance: Casual, cultural, eclectic. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.
