Sign in to reviewThe Phat Cha was really tasty. The flavor of the sauce was deep, rich and extremely enjoyable. The chicken could be a little more tender, and the veggies a little more roasted, but the bamboo shoots were great with holding the flavor of the dish. Very good nonetheless. 8.5/10 The Garlic Chicken was also really good. Although a little more one dimensional considering the main ingredient of the dish boils down to chicken and rice, the chili garlic sauce was very very tasty. The wok-fried chicken was crispy but with a kind of slow bite/chew which allows you to enjoy the flavors of the breading much more intimately. This is such a solid dish as well, though I think there's only so much I can eat with all the breading and rice all in one dish. 8/10 The char on the pork satay skewer was absolutely wonderful. The flavor was definitely a little burnt, but I think that enhanced the flavor of the meat especially blended together with the melted fats of the pork which made for a delightful treat. 8.5/10 The char-grilled beef+pork meatballs felt a little underwhelming to me. There were 2 skewers of three meatballs each, so 6 meatballs in total but none of the meatballs felt like they had any char whatsoever. The texture of the meatballs also felt like a nothing burger, almost like a plain microwaved meatball from the frozen isle - unimpressive. 6/10 Overall the place was pretty cool, and the items are well priced. Would recommend a stop by if you're in the area!
I really wanted to love this spot because the vibe is great, but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered the Pad See Ew and the Papaya Salad. While the flavors were decent, both dishes were surprisingly salty, which made it hard to finish the meal. The portions also felt a bit small for the price point. It’s a "fine" option if you’re already in the area and looking for a quick bite, but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way for it again. Great atmosphere and decor, but the value and seasoning just weren't quite there for me this time.
Gathered for lunch with colleagues, slightly surprised by the format, not disappointed by the flavors. Very vibrant restaurant with lunch hour packed with diners. While the atmosphere was superb and the open kitchen concept one of a personal first seen with a Thai restaurant, the food ingredients neatly stored all over the place are more confusing than adding anything aesthetically pleasing. Both surprised by the lack of beef as a protein of choice from the menu, which I usually order for pad see ew as well as it came in a sweet green-type salad bowl. That said, absent of some excessive white pepper powder, the dish was full of flavor and wok hay and delivered the savoriness and satisfaction. The papaya salad had a great portion and the spring rolls were crispy. Perhaps will visit again for its value, but the ambience is not somewhere you’d expect to sit for more than half an hour for your meal.
The khao soi had great flavors but the curry broth looked a little broken and was a bit too thick. I was also expecting egg noodles and not rice noodles, but overall tasty! Add the pickled Serrano! Its a game changer. I also got the papaya salad. Again, good flavor but I would've like my papaya to be a bit more crunchy. My side of rice was inedible. It was too dry... or maybe just old? Great vibe! Fast service.
The atmosphere was pretty fun! Besides all the fun color all around they also had all their supplies out as part of the decor. It was clever!!! And I love clever! The service was great! Fast and easy. The flavor was good. It didn’t have me wanting for more…. But the heat was right on! It didn’t linger. It was just enough to be enjoyable. My kids got 2 helpings of the spring roll bites!!!
