Had a really good experience at Daiso today! The store was clean and well organized. The blue-haired cashier was super nice and helped me pick out some snacks. It's a really fun place to wander around and pick up a few things you didn't know you needed. They also have a great selection of Sanrio items. I'll definitely be back!

I have been to Japan many times, and visiting Daiso in Carrollwood was such a treat. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the store and variety of items. I like how they kept items in Japanese and used yen pricing. It would appeal to anyone who enjoys character goods, snacks, home goods, toys, stationery and more. I really enjoyed shopping here although prices are 3x what you would spend in Japan it's better than buying a plane ticket and don't need to worry about luggage restrictions haha

1/2/26: I have visited at least a dozen Daiso in Texas and my kids and I were excited to know there's a Daiso in Florida. We took a mini road trip to Tampa to check out this location. Highlights: 1. Many Japanese snacks and candy (My favorites are the fruit gummies and milk candy.) 2. Several selections of Japanese instant udon soup and ramen soup. 3. My favorite is checking out their school supplies/teacher organizing storages. 4. There is an aisle for cosmetics, seasonal items like hats and scarves for the winter, house tools, basic kitchen tools, craft and stationary aisle, flip flop aisle, smaller toys, etc. 5. They carry a lipstick brand that's only $2 each and the color last on our lips all day! The only thing I was disappointed about is that I did not see any gardening and decorative pots year round like I usually see at the Daiso in Texas. I will check back in March and hopefully might see some. Cons: I do not recommend wasting money on the very thin super clear plastic containers. They are not durable and breaks easily. Not all containers are like that. I noticed not every item has the Japanese quality like it used to have because they are importing a lot of "Made in China" products too. There are also some items made in Thailand and Vietnam too.

If you’re looking for a better dollar store this is it. It’s organized and clean. We came on a week day after the Grand Opening and it was not crowded at all. We bought some snacks to try which were really good and I bought some bag clips …
